According to clyde he doesnt even have a case in the matter lol

I never said Alex never should not be nominated. I'm saying that he doesn't have a case over to Stafford to win. Stafford should run away with this award.

Seems you have ignored many of my posts and ignored all the facts i have put out there. I think we can all agree that stafford might win but to say smith doesnt even have an arguement is rediculous.

He has an argument to be nominated. He doesn't have an argument to win it over Stafford. Just like Stafford has an argument to be an honorable mention for MVP, but really doesn't stand a chance or has an argument over Rodgers, Brees, or Brady.

This debate isn't about whether Alex should be nominated. It's about whether he deserves to win it over Stafford. He doesn't.

i wouldn't be surprised if they both won it. come back from injury or come back from the whole fanbase wanting to kick you out of the city. stafford kinda came on late with all those yards, voters might have had their mind made up before that.

Don't mean to spark debate or gloat or complain but haven't seen this posted anywhere.

By the very definition of the award than no doubt Stafford wins it.

If you were taking in the entire scope of ones career than Alex Smith would be most deserving of it but you're only looking year to year which is why Stafford is most deserving of it.

I personally never liked the way the give out the award sometimes because for example a case like Tom Brady when he won it he was playing at a high level before he got injured and just picked up where he left off when he got healthy so it didn't feel like he made a "comeback" but just got healthy.

This is weird. Wikipedia says that Matthew Stafford won it for 2011. I guess one of the Lions fans is being a little proactive?

National Football League Comeback Player of the Year Award - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

When you mentioned Brady winning it, I went to go confirm if they gave the award to Montana after his back injury, which they did, and its probably why they gave it to Brady too. Just so he could keep pace with Montana's awards.

It was leaked yesterday.

Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford emerged as the winner of the Comeback Player of the Year Award for 2011 in the wake of a Lions season that saw industrial strength numbers, late-game comebacks, another amazing year from a guy called Megatron and a long-sought playoff appearance.

I love how two people in this thread have tried passing off the PA Pulse awards as legitimate NFL awards.
