im saying first pick in the 3rd round. That would be hard to pass up in this draft.

I'd take that, but I think Houston will already have their QB by then.

They would be crazy to take Bortles over Clowney.

Even if they did take a QB in the 2nd round. Guys like Grap, Bridgewater, or McCarron are they that much better than Cousins? If they trade for Cousins they can get another starter with the 2nd round pick instead of a QB.

They don't have to wait until the second round. They could trade the pick and get a slightly lower 1st round this year and an additional 1st next year and maybe even a bit more. They could still get a top QB.

Why? If they trade for Cousins they can win now. They have a lot of talent on that team. Old talent like Johnson and Foster. Wouldn't they want a QB that can win now? Its such a no brainer for both sides.

I am not sure who the Texans have at QB now (Keenum maybe?), but they have a pretty decent roster, a possible playoff roster in that division. They had a good team last year but Schaub stunk it up.

With that being said, it wouldn't surprise me to see Houston go after several QB options. Cousins and a 2nd or 4th rounder that they really like. Similar to what Seattle did a few years ago with Flynn and Wilson. Give yourself 3 or 4 guys to battle it out and win the job.

That is my point. Houston is in win now mode. None of these QB';s are on the Luck and Rg3 level so why not trade for a proven guy who you could win with?

Because most of the league disagrees with your assessment on cousins. What has he done to prove that he is a win now QB? If teams thought that, he would have already been traded.

Because hes not a proven guy you can win with. Id take my chances with a Manziell or Bridgewater over Cousins both for the future and for this season.

why trade for KC who has proven he could be a viable BU qb and nothing more ?

b/c Cousins is more NFL ready. Plus it frees up the 2nd round pick to get another need. Bridgeawater and Manziel are huge risks.

Guys, the signing of McCoy gives us nothing more than depth and flexibility. IF some one makes an offer for Cousins, we can decide if we want to take the offer. If not, we hang onto him. My take is the only two teams who might be interested in Kirk right now are the Browns and the Texans. If either offers their 3rd rounder, its a solid deal for both sides. For anything less I say we hold onto Kirk.

Does that mean in 13 game last year that Griffin has proven he is nothing more also?

Absolutely really. Griffin excelled in a gimmick offense that worked for one year. Even at that Cousins brought them back in the Ravens game and won the Cleveland game so Griffin was 8-6 that year, not 10-6.

Last year no gimmicks Griffin was 3-10 and in the bottom tier of QBs in the league. Cousins 0-3, no arguements there, neither guy was good.

You just decided a guy is a career backup after 4 starts!! I didn't make any such judgement about either guy. I just wondered what you know that confirms Cousins could never be a starter in the NFL?

RG3 was coming off a severe knee injury and put up very decent stats

KC so far has a lower completion % and a worse td to int ratio

now to you really want to debate who is the better qb at this point ? the point is so far and i mean so far subject to change , KC has proven to be nothing more then a BU QB

and it isnt a given that he is anymore then a kolb or flynn at this point and i again emphasize at this point in his career he hasnt proven it which in the framework of this post means yes some teams may not want to give up a pick we want to get him

no where did i say he is forever and ever from this date forward destined to be a BU for his entire career after 4 starts
