McCoy does not suck. Why wouldn't you want an extra 3rd round pick in one of the deepest drafts ever? I like Cousins but there is no future he for him. If RG3 does go down we have a veteran who can pick up the slack. You can even draft a guy like Arron Murry or David Fales in the 5th round if you feel that uncertain about the QB situation.

you are saying that Cousins is a better QB than McCoy plus he is worth more than the first pick in the 3rd round. WOW!! Its like I said before if McCoy can backup up Kap why cant he backup RG3 and get the first pick of the 3rd round out of it. Its a no brainer.

Yep you got it!!!1 He could back up Kap, becuase he was the best of the bottom of the barrell...If Cousins were around, he would not have been backing up Kap, becuase he wouldnt have beaten out Cousins.....I am more comfortable with cousins backing up RGII..the Mccoy who SUCKS....McCoy has a WEAK arm and thus would negate the long ball, severly limiting the offense....

And like I said....to the Skins...Cousins is more valuable then a 3rd round pick that could or couldnt contribute next year to the skins....

As far as this being a deep class....we hear that every year...this is a deep class...every freaking year...they may say it is not as top heavy sometimes, but they always say it is a deep class

BS. It has been well documented that this is the deepest draft class in years.

Well documented...huh???

Oh ...Ok.......

but it doesnt negate the fact that Mccoy and his weak Arm would severly limit the offense had he be needed to come in comparred to Cousins...

i think we are getting worked up over nothing if we traded KC he would be an adequate BU . maybe he isnt cousins but he wont turn the ball over as much either

i dont think the skins have any intention of trading KC at this point

i am a huge Rg3 supporter however KC can make things happen with those weapons too if it turns out Rg3 is a bust

because the new HC might want to get a good look at KC and what he brings to the table

and what if the pats throw mallet at them ? :noidea:

That decision has already been made with the signing of McCoy. If Mallett fetches a higher draft pick than Cousins I would be shocked. The Pats would be fools not to accept Houstons 3rd round pick for Mallett.

Lonewate44 watch this video. Listen to what Kiper says at the end of this video. Kiper also thinks Jimmy Ward is going to be a major steal in the draft.

Mels not as good at actual talen eval as he used to be. He can commentate with the best of them. BUt if he calls a guy a steal in the draft.. I generally hope the Skins steer clear.

He does seem pretty excited about it. Mike Mayock seems to think this is the best draft in the last 10 years.

I'm siding with the 'keep Cousins' mentality myself... not by a mile, but it's hard for me to get excited about trading him away at this juncture in time.

Very interesting. McCoy is a quality backup up QB. Maybe there is a trade in the works for Cousins. There is no reason to keep 3 QB's.

I thought that, too. With that in mind, there is no way he could be just a camp body. There's a reason he is here. I was a huge Colt McCoy fan, while he was at Texas. In fact, I like him better than Kirk Cousins. I remember, when he and Jordan Shipley were lighting things up. He played, while Orakpo was there in fact. Colt has some skills. He's tough, has a decent arm and can run.

Colt is fine for me as a backup. These guys on here wouldn't do a trade from Houston for their 3rd round pick. Crazy.

Anyone trading for K. Cousins, either sees him as a potential starter or a capable back-up. It seems a step back from what's logical that Washington would not see the same thing. Wouldn't the more prudent route be to compare and contrast both Cousins and McCoy in camp prior to making that decision? Trading Cousins now, would deny DC the opportunity to assure themselves that McCoy is on par of better than Cousins. Trading him (Cousins) now could mean that Washington is in the market for QB.

It depends on what somebody offered you. I agree if all we can get is a mid round 3 or later. But if someone offers us a 2nd or above, see ya Kirk.
