Retro - On Wednesday before the USC/Arizona State game, I was going over my sports pages at a restaurant here in Los Angeles when a nice lady came over to my table, introduced herself, and said "I can tell you know a lot about football". She was very proud of her grandson, Arizona State QB, Mike Bercovici.

I grabbed my USA Today Sports Weekly and showed her that he was mentioned in the PAC 12 section of the paper. She proceeded to show me pictures of him on her phone and we talked college football for a while.

I should have taken it as an omen that Mike Bercovici would throw a Hail Mary to defeat my alma mater, USC! Since he started the year as the backup QB, I can only imagine the fun his grandmom and family had after the game.

PAC 12 is up for grabs. ASU, Oregon, Arizona, UCLA, Utah all have legits shots. USC? I don't know now.

Oregon UCLA should be interesting this week. Does UCLA have a good defense to hold Oregon coming off a loss at home with a week off to prepare?

I'm going to watch Hundley and Marriotta. Should be a doozy.

I hear you RamCub. ASU and USC are still in the hunt as SJ76 has already more than adequately enumerated in the above post. That grandma was probably grinning from ear-to-ear. Got to love families involved in their gernational accomplishments. Good Stuff!:10::agree::yahoo:

Three great college games starting at 12:30 locally here in Los Angeles. I'll be at a sports bar so I can check them all out at once.

#9 TCU vs #5 Baylor (Petty all the way!)
#2 Auburn vs #3 Mississippi State (Franklin vs Sheppard)
#12 Oregon vs #18 UCLA (Marriota vs Hundley)

Unfortunately, my fandom will have me watching Syracuse against Florida State at noon Saturday. Salt in the wound is that Syracuse just lost their starting QB for at least a month. Likely blowout becomes likely annihilation.

Breaking News: Georgia RB Todd Gurley suspended indefinitely for an undisclosed violation of NCAA rules.

Bummer - he was one of my favorites dating to the beginning of last year's college football season!

Petty hasn't played a real defense yet. TCU will be a good test.

Gurley sold his jersey or something. Poor kid is broke but his school makes millions off his jersey. He was a heisman candidate.

WV Texas tech will be a shootout.

Dak Prescott. Lol. He's looking pretty good at QB while Bryce Petty struggles with TCUs defense.

Stricker is a top 5 OLB if he comes out for the upcoming draft. 6' 217/220

He's got decent speed but lots can happen between now and draft.

Shaq Thompson OLB Washington is a beast. 6'2 231 with speed.

Another kid that looks just ridiculous is the SS Landon Collins from BAMA. 6' 215 and he's got speed, along with taking your head off skills.
