Lord this kid is good. Marriotta has an arm. :)

And This Oregon st. QB doesn't look bad at all.
I've been saying this for a few years now...Not sure if you remember that MM thread I started about this time last year...

And you beat me to it with Sean Mannion, QB at Oregon State. Dude is set to soon become the all time passing leader in terms of passing yards in the history of the PAC. Says something when you had guys like Elway, Aikman, Palmer & Luck just in the last 25 years or so....

Sean was going to be my answer to your question about who might be that 2nd or early 3rd round QB pick in next years draft.

CBS has Mannion 68th overall, behind Mariota (1), Winston (6), Hundley (19), Hogan (25), and Cook (32).

Haha. I bet the guy they drafted over Marino PLAYED. It just cracks me up the shit they do.

This D-line of Clemson and the LB #42 is nasty. Badass LB!

Gabriel Rivera, paralyzed in a drunk driving wreck in October of his rookie year.

Good RB class from what I can tell but we should probably stay away unless someone really falls.

I'm guessing its QB in RD1 and C in RD2. Maybe That Matias G from Florida St

If austin continues to get playing time and puts up numbers like he did last week there's no need to draft another QB. Maybe take one in the 3rd round and develop. I'm tired of taking QB's with our top pick.

1) Marcus Marriota is the next Russell Wilson, but he's 3-4 inches taller and might have a better arm with 4.4 speed. Is his IQ as good as Russell's? I don't know.
2) Austin Davis would be a helluva back up, UNLESS he just continues to go off.

But if Davis does continue to go off and play well, that means we win some games and won't have that opportunity to get MM. If we win 2-3 games (and with our schedule we could), while Austin Davis is up and down.... Then we have to take Marriotta if we have the chance. Marriotta is NO Bradford Jacob. Watch his game this Saturday and you will get what I'm saying.

Remember, the Cowboys (despite what their "rank" is) are not a good defense. Tampa was not very good either.

As Clayton posted awhile ago, we will see what Davis has after 2 games against Seattle, San Fran, and AZ.

Don't get me wrong, I like Davis and have been screaming for him the past 2 years. But does he have the potential to be a top 5-10 QB in the NFL? We will know soon enough.

The good thing about Austin Davis is that he is throwing the deep ball. I've been impressed so far but its early.

The simple truth about Austin Davis is that if he is any good, he'll play the Rams out of getting a top 2 QB prospect and at that point, they might all be developmental if certain guys go back to college.

Seriously, though...i see us drafting 2 olinemen and early. Or 1 if Greg Robinson doesnt bust.

Oh he made some great throws last sunday.
Last year I believe the Rams came back from the bye week and looked ALOT better on defense. So give Davis 2 weeks to work with the 1's and maybe the D comes back and plays 4 quarters from here on out.

I have no comment on Greg Robinson other than this is just really sad. Even Jason Smith played right away.

Ya I hope Davis gets the shot to play the entire season. If Fisher is smart he'll do this to really see what he has in Davis. We all know what Hill is. An old back up QB. If Davis works out thats one less position we have to draft.

Only thing on drafting Olinemen early is we better hit on them. Quit whiffing on these guys.

:agree:

And I believe, even though I'm not a huge Greg Williams fan, that our defense will get better just because we are learning a new scheme. Believe it or not, it takes time to get these things down like clock work.

Once they do that the talent can take over.

Oh, and by that time one of our defensive leaders in Chris Long will be back. Anybody who doubts that is a critical part in our defense running smoother is just kidding themselves.

The one who is suffering the most from the Long injury has to be Quinn.

Not about Quinn new contract but more about the new system and the injuries we've suffered...

We will get there fellas....
