I never understood the sentiment of rooting for a team b/c they are from your state or conference in college football, I don't really root for any SEC teams and certainly no other in state teams.... Basically anyone I think is a recruiting rival potentially

So no I don't root for Alabama or LSU just b/c they're in the SEC and no I don't root for TU, TCU, Texas Tech or Baylor just b/c they're in Texas... there are actually zero fan bases or teams I root against more than Tech

Nothing drives me battier than being at an A&M game, than to start hearing chants of "SEC! SEC! SEC!"

I agree with the chanting nonsense but since I did not go to a Big XII school I do not have an affinity for any one team. But I always want someone to win the National Championship out of the Big XII because it is good for the conference which included A&M when they were in it. But I totally understand you thinking differently since you have a strong bias towards A&M and rightfully so.
