His favorite food is charred steak with ketchup.

/That should be an automatic disqualification for the presidency.

Can I borrow it for these two ass hats?

Well, we crossed 8 billion people on this planet this week, currently we don't seem to have any issues as far as procreation is concerned. More to the point, same sex marriage has no impact on your life, so get stuffed Ben and Matt.

so Dems won the Senate but lost the House? so nothing changes? nothing gets done?
In theory - Easier to get some house members to flip as opposed to some senators. Look at vote for speaker - 31 didn't vote for McCarthy.

If the bill passes by simple majority (218 of 435), the bill moves to the Senate. In the Senate, the bill is assigned to another committee and, if released, debated and voted on. Again, a simple majority (51 of 100) passes the bill.

Won't mean must to trump (except his businesses), but I'm sure the IRS is listening and a few people are in for an uncomfortable audit.

Obligatory

Just remember at least one in ten won’t mind. And in terms of MAGA 9 out of 10 won’t mind.

I had to click because this seems fucking insane at first but I'm not seeing any of the Confederate names before the 5th grade portion, the 5th grade portion almost entirely deals with slavery and the Civil War and the 6th grade portion moves onto WWII and post-war which gets into the Civil Rights Era.

None of the Confederate assholes are included in "celebratory" manner, at least in this summary. Both times Jeff Davis' name appears as subject matter alongside Frederick Douglass.

"describing how individuals influenced the course of the Civil War including Abraham Lincoln, Jefferson Davis, Ulysses S. Grant, Robert E. Lee, Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson, William Tecumseh Sherman, and Frederick Douglass;"

"describing major events and the roles of key leaders of the Civil War Era, with emphasis on Abraham Lincoln, Jefferson Davis, Ulysses S. Grant, Robert E. Lee, and Frederick Douglass;"

When did you guys start learning heavily about history in school? I remember reading Anne Frank in the 4th grade but I don't think history really started getting taught to us in depth until the 7th grade beyond skimming over some major events. Probably different now but I don't think there's anything wrong with really getting into it around that age. It's not something kids really understand before that point anyway.
