I really have to wonder if Deion is going to let his kid go to the Browns...
I'm starting to think the Sanders doubters are right to the extent where the Browns should just take the top prospect and figure out the QB later on like when the Falcons were stuck with Matt Ryans contract.I really have to wonder if Deion is going to let his kid go to the Browns...

I think we do have a relatively deep draft so I kinda agree that most teams would want to trade down and except for WR and LT I dont think anyone is trading up. Maybe the Penn ST TE. Im going to have to look at him closer. He looks like a monster and Penn St's QB play was all over the place.Yah who knows. This really isn't the draft to be picking top 5 in. There's really no elite EDGE or OT or QB. Hunter is probably worth a top 5 but a WR/DB hybrid? Meh. Unlike Ohtani in baseball, that kid is not going to be able to play DB AND WR in the NFL. Pick one. Snap count very much matters in the NFL and saying you can do 100+ snaps a game simply wont work. He'll be injured in no time or just exhausted and start to suck at both.

There arguably might not be an elite EDGE prospect but there will be elite edge players developed out of these no elite edge prospects. Almost no one had Jared Verse as an elite Edge prospect and I think there might be a couple of Verse-ish players. There might actually be some near blue chip DTs. That I'm going to have to look at, too. I think there is a very high probability that Chris Jones retires in 2 seasons just given the difficulty of his position so I'm certainly looking at the DT prospects.
I'm kinda with you on Hunter but I don't want to fully rule out his potential as strictly a WR. Its a bad WR class. WRs are expensive. Hunter took a massive leap in one season at WR. All he has to do is make one more leap and you're talking about someone that people will value as a top 3 pick. I do think he has to pick a side, though. The season is too long. Maybe having him on 3rd down as CB and WR. Maybe. Im just not sure thats a smart move instead of just developing on one side the best you can. As a CB? Maybe the 8th pick. Both? Thats a unicorn and Im not 100% sure that doesn't come back to Kyle Pitts you in the butt where you have a super talented person with no position. It sure would be fun if he could play both, though.
If there is a massive dropoff between QB2 and QB3 people will trade up for QB2. Im just not fully sure where that lands in the draft. Pick 2, maybe pick 5.
I suspect there will be a top 10 forming at some point of elite players assuming that there are some of these OL prospects that people think can play tackle. I know this is going to shock you coming from a Chiefs fan but the Offensive Tackle position in the NFL isnt very good as a whole.Good analysis/post.
I do agree this draft is relatively deep... my point was there's not a lot of top 5-10 talent compared to most draft classes. There's certainly good players to be found and I agree, this is a draft that you want to trade back on. That said, trading back is easier said than done, you have to find a trade partner.
