You can argue the Democrats haven't done shit to promote the "next person" other than Hillary Clinton since 2004. They didn't want Obama until they realized people liked him (then spent his entire presidency running away from his popularity every chance they could).

You can argue the Democrats haven't done shit to promote the "next person" other than Hillary Clinton since 2004. They didn't want Obama until they realized people liked him (then spent his entire presidency running away from his popularity every chance they could).

The corporate spin machine against any high profile democrat is the double edged sword here. They could get their base engaged with some of the more popular "rising stars" but those same people get the other base enraged. It's almost like the Democrats have to find some one not really on the national radar at this point. I get that it would be a smear immediately, but make them work for it. The Democrats just need to have the balls to say "AOC, Beto and Stacey Abrams are our future. Deal with it."

I personally think Adam Schiff has really shown a lot during the hearings. I could get behind him as a candidate. Not sure I want to hear 2 years of "Shifty Schiff" bullshit though. I could also support Al Franken, but that's a fucking layup for the Hypocricans.
