I know its sarcasm but the 10 month wait thing in the above example cant even be used.

You go to the hospital/er here with stomach pain and if they determine it necessary they will do a CT scan then and there that you wont have to pay for … happened to me when i had my first ever diverticulitis attack.

The big problem here is that we have so many without a family doctor and no longer have walk in clinics. They have switched to urgent care facilities and they book up for the day within 2 mins of taking calls. This causes more people with less serious issues to go to ER which slows it down for everyone.

I actually tried to get a new PCP (primary care physician), took me 6 months! Since I was a "new" patient my appt for the first PCP got rescheduled 3 times. So I decided to find a new PCP and same thing happened to me they rescheduled me since I was "new". I didn't even give that Dr office a second chance, I got luck with my third and finally got my yearly checkup appointment.

What is even worse this is supposed to be 100% covered from insurance but I still got a $1,400 bill for the visit. This happened in January and I am still fighting it since it should be covered. Naturally they already sent me to collections so I can't even fight this with the billing office of the Hospital System that is associated with the Dr office.

I know logically it can't be used but that is the problem with these people that believe "socialized" medicine is bad. They think it does happen and are programmed to believe for profit health insurance companies/hospital systems in the US are out for your best interest.

Yeah, both provincially and federally in Canada, we need to address health care and do what we can to ensure that health care professionals are incentivized to not only start practices, but remain practicing here in Canada.

Anybody who believes other country's Healthcare systems are so much worse are really ignorant and/or really lucky.

I've had two people in my family who needed to see a dermatologist for something their PCP said was probably cancer, and had to wait 6 - 8 months for an appointment.

Eye specialists are are few in my area, it takes a long time for most of their appointments. The eye doctor who lasered my eyes (and who while looking in my eyes said "my holes stay open" giving me difficulties) said she can/will have to work forever because according to her no one is going in that field. She blamed Hillary for something she did to the residency program in the 90s.

So we have super long waits and issues at times, and we have to pay for it. Eye stuff is "fun" too. It has to be argued whether it's vision related and will be covered by eyecare insurance (with usually larger out of pocket costs), or health related and covered by medical insurance.

How we accept everything including the fact that we need separate insurances for eyes and teeth is beyond me.

I understand that we have some serious issues in this country, but that also takes serious people to address them. All PP cares about is power and wielding it over people, he doesn't care one iota about Canadian workers or the struggles that people have in their daily lives. Heaven forbid if you're a woman or part of the LGBTQ+ community, he wants to strip away all your rights and dictate to you how to live.

Please Canada, do the right thing and send this guy packing on Monday.
