And the numbers and where it comes from varies. Great Lakes states, for example, import far more Canadian Crude than any other source and as such refineries that use Canadian Crude oil are configured to work with the thicker Canadian oil, so just switching to a new source isn't really an option.

One projection I saw was great Lakes and upper Midwest states may wind up paying 75 cents a gallon more than say Texas or Gulf coast. Which affects everything, including farming.
