This really isn’t difficult. She didn’t have a policy for quite some time… she took Biden’s and put her name on it… but guess what? The vast majority of people are not happy with the last four years, so that didn’t work well. Yes they want someone new… but guess what, they forced a candidate with no votes, and who was that person? Literally the right hand woman to the guy that many voters despised, bad move. And yes, the Left has been awful at exciting people, minus 2020s turnout which was more a vote against Trump than a vote for Biden.

Exit polling indicates that many voters voted against Kamala rather than for Trump. She did not win people over.

I’m not saying that rationale is right, I just know that your average voter bases a lot on their lived experience, not what many posters here are stating. I certainly don’t think Trump’s better than Kamala (though my retirement account thinks otherwise), but she certainly didn’t make me want to jump out of my seat to vote for her. You want to indicate I’m some racist misogynist, go ahead. I’m just trying to shed light on how this all happened. Perhaps I got cheetos dust in my bigoted eyes, sorry.
