There is a major difference in the "lows" that McCain or Romney went to compared to the levels of lowness Trump reaches.

Taking the high road only works when the low road traveler admits that the high road exists. It was an acceptable response then.

Yep I agree. It is hard to keep up the high road with Trump. Also the lower you go on a bully like him the more he hides and whimpers. Also messes up more and more with his “tough guy” persona essentially gone.

Kamala was solid as well.

And I think we can see why she didn't choose Mark Kelly. Solid speech, but he delivered it like wood paneling.
