That a successful, professional woman living 3 states away would come home for Christmas looking for romance with someone she dated as a teen is actually more realistic than many other parts of the show. LOL.
Idk if she was or it just kinda happened because of how well her and Johnny hit it off

Fine, I disagree, but I can see your point about the school fight.. but still think the House fight would never happen ever... I mean even juvenile delinquents would not break up a party and start an all out brawl... and we are to believe that these kids are good kids strayed to the dark side by Kreese...
I enjoyed the house fight for what it was but agree that the chances of that ever happening are very slim. I’d like to know how the Cobra Kai kids knew that the LaRusso parents were gone and it’d be the Eagle Fang and Miyagi Do kids there by themselves. My only guess would be either someone was staking out the place for whatever reason or someone was dumb enough to post it on social media and they found out.

Well, the opening scene of that episode makes it seem like she came back to Southern California with a purpose. Her mother welcomes her home and asks her if she is going to see some old friends, and then replies and says, "Oh, I've got plans."

yeah they don’t explain that, but they also show Kreese telling his students that the two dojo’s were working together and needed to be taken out.

btw how great was the first episode of season three, at the PTA meeting...

All the peanut gallery comments were just amazing... "I heard you were the bully" might have been my favourite...

Yeah, that was hilarious. The show does a great job of making fun of itself.

Does anyone else find it a little off-putting that Ralph Macchio looks so different now compared to his younger self? LOL. William Zabka and Elizabeth Shue still look very much like they did back then. Martin Kove as Kreese looks different, but he's old as fuck.

I laugh every time I see someone doing a roundhouse kick with the kick only being about knee or waist high. It kinda reminds me of the kicks I used to do when I did Tai Kwon Do when I was in 6th grade.

Also, all these kids are supposed to be kick ass karate studs? Yet they are all still white belts.

And Kreese is getting all these kids to pay dues (or at least their parents)? What parent would EVER keep their kid in the same dojo after everything that has happened in the span of this show?

All this, and I am TOTALLY OK with it because this show is ridiculous. Who cares. It is a guilty pleasure show.
Yes. I like the nostalgia of it and the original movie was a good story. I practiced Tae Kwon Do for several years. White belts do not learn spinning kicks. The learn the basic kicks, Roundhouse, side kick, and front kicks. And most are hardly proficient at them. White belts were not allowed to even compete in tournaments and we had few yellow belts compete. These nerdy kids would get creamed if they tried to Bruce Lee anyone

True. The thought of Kreese having one of his students do a stakeout at the LaRusso’s in case that happened is hilarious.

I didn't realize until now that the woman who plays Amanda LaRusso is the same woman who played Sheldon's sister on Big Bang Theory. She looked liked a 25-year old on Big Bang Theory, but her character on Cobra Kai seems like a woman in her late 40's or early 50's. She's a beautiful lady regardless. She is actually only 39 years old.

Kreese is basically running a criminal enterprise funded by the monthly dues from his ten students.

I loved that line. Then they kinda do it again at the club when Daniel, Johnny and Allie are talking about old times. They pay such beautiful homage to that original YouTube video in this show.

Well, wasn't the youtube video the inspiration to make this show?? I mean, Johnny was intended to be the main character...

I ASSUME the vid was the inspiration, but I have never heard that mentioned officially.

Wicked could also be credited with the show as well.

I thought that was the point?

The whole show is basically just fan service for those of us that grew up with the original movie and eventual sequels.
It's Johnny looking for redemption.
It's Daniel looking to honor Mr. Miyagi.

It's campy fun.
Enough plot wholes to drive a truck through.
Enough scenery chewing to fill Yokozuna.

Zabka still has it.
Macchio is just cashing a check.
Shue will always have it.

The kids, the fighting, the school board, the total lawlessness of it all... it's just filler.

Yeah, the show is so much fun that all the ridiculousness doesn't matter. It's our fantasy world and the fans are thrilled to have this show to consume. There are a lot of other shows and films that I'd love additional stories for so that we can revisit those worlds. I'm so glad this show got put together.

I think they're onto something with the 30 minute episodes, which is rare for a drama, although this is more of a dramedy.
Much easier to binge.

Well she is his twin on TBBT and Sheldon was mid 30s when it ended. She is definitely supposed to be only 40s in this show. Almost a trophy wife for Daniel.

Any predictions on Season 4?

I'm hoping Mike Barnes has twins, one boy, one girl, lives on the other side of the valley, and that's who Terry brings in to help out Kreese.
