Man, sometimes you wonder what GM's are thinking... that's a Mariners baseball move by the Texans...

LOL ... check it out though...

9.0 sacks, 16 tackles for loss and 21 QB hits in 15 games... Even when he's not getting a sack 21 QB hits, so sacks aside, it's about pressure and rushing the QB to make a decision.... A sack is just a glorified tackle for a loss... I LOVE THAT SAYING.....
Again, you know my job as a division rival...

I don’t care about stats that weaken my argument.

It does help the pass rush after losing Clark. I'm not gonna tout Clowney as the second coming of Bruce Smith but he is pretty good and holds the edge on run D pretty well.It really shows how far over his head O'Brien really is, imo. The Texans franchise is in a bad place right now. Kinda sad to waste that talent they have on offenses because O'Brien can't even swing a little Oline help for a former 1st rd pick.
Great get for the Hawks without giving up much.

If course it's sarcasm. I'm saying this trade was weak, no excuse for the Eagles to not get it done if Clowney went for this little.
I was wondering that myself. What held the Eagles back?

Houston screwed it all up by not shopping him and getting a deal done earlier. By waiting this long they completely lost all leverage because any team that trades for him can't sign him to a long term deal so he could bolt after a year and you're not getting substantial return on a guy if a team can't lock him up long term.

Clowney is a good not great player which is why his market wasn't the trade market wasn't that great for him. He's definitely an upgrade for the Seahawks and Hawks fans should be happy to have him but he's not in the same conversation as Mack or Donald. It makes sense for the Hawks too because they have plenty of cap space and they can afford to overpay him without it really impacting their ability to build a roster.

Rumor is part of the deal included Pete Carroll taking his shirt off for Bill O’Brien.

So I guess we will beat LAR instead of Seattle.

Bill O'Brien should invest in a Madden game. Then he'd know better than to make this trade.

Would’ve figured for sure Procise would’ve been involved if Houston wanted a trade to the Hawks.

I knew it all along!

Belichick was afraid of the Texans so he sent O'Brien to Houston to sabotage the only team that could stop the New England dynasty!

That's the only thing that can explain Butt Chin's decision-making.
