Scuttlebutt has the Clippers potentially selling for $2B. Is the potential buyer insane? The Lakers must be worth about $10B if the Clippers are worth $2B.

Stupid yes. That price is worth more than the worth of the Lakers, Cowboys, Redskins, and even the Yankees. Lol.

However, they are paying that price based on projection of future worth - which makes a little more sense. You overpay for them now. However, in 10 years the franchise might be worth 3 billion.

Plus Ballmar is now talking about move the Clips to Seattle. Good, get 'em out of the Staples Center.

Not saying it will happen, but if I'm a member of the Buss Family Trust, I'm doing everything I can to convince the others to sell. If the Clips get 2 bills, the Lakers can double that. Even post tax and split among all the siblings, my grandkids kids are set for life. I'm going Scrooge McDuck into all that cash

Well the very latest is Shelly Sterling got Donald to sign a form awhile back that he forgot about and when he refused to sign off on the sale to Ballmer (his signature was required for teh sale to be official), she produced the document to the league Board of Directors and the sale is going forward. The sale of the Clips is contigent on Ballmer keeping the Clips in LA so it looks like any move to Seattle, at least immediately, will not be happening. So if the Donald is continuing with his suit of the NBA, he'll in essence be suing Shelly via California law. Pretty crazy!

It gets even crazier. I read an article this morning that said that Donald filed a $1 billion lawsuit against the NBA. The problem is that The Sterling Family Trust via Shelly Sterling has agreed to protect the NBA from lawsuits related to the sale, including from Donald.

If Donald sues and wins, the Sterling Family Trust could then be responsible to make the payment for the NBA.

In essence, the crazy old bastard could be suing himself!!:laugh3:
