Cleveland Browns Ongoing Thread

Running back Duke Johnson has spent the last three seasons with the Browns and he’d like to extend his stay in Cleveland a while longer.

Johnson is heading into the final year of the four-year deal he signed as a 2015 third-round pick and said on Wednesday, via Pat McManamon of ESPN.com, that he’s started talking to the team about a contract extension. Johnson described himself as “very optimistic” that the two sides will strike a deal.

Johnson split time with Isaiah Crowell over the last three seasons and made a big mark as a receiver out of the backfield. He had a career-high 74 catches last year and has 188 catches for 1,741 yards and five receiving touchdowns overall. He’s run the ball 259 times for 1,085 yards and five touchdowns as well.

Crowell has moved onto the Jets, leaving Johnson to share the backfield with free agent acquisition Carlos Hyde and 2018 second-round pick Nick Chubb.

Sooners are the only team I would never sleep around on. I don't have second favorites in College.
I grew up a Cowgirl, Rockets and St Louis Cards fan. Now its Green Bay, Thunder, Rangers. Browns are my 2nd in the NFL. Excited to see Baker get his chance. I just hope its on here so i can see it.

I hope BM's the right QB to start turning things around for the Browns. But if you know anything about the teams recent QB draft history it's the biggest joke in the league. Hopefully this time it's different.

Baker is doing what drives him. He's always faced adversity and told he wouldn't be able to. Two time walk on. I don't think he is done yet and still has some magic to show the world you can accomplish anything.

He was # 1 overall pick. There will be big expectations for him, and rightfully so. I just hope he's the right QB to start turning the franchise around.

I'm a pink hat Browns fan since they called up Mayfield. I've never even paid much attention to NFL until that time.

I keep seeing metcalf round 1 and I really hate that pick

I don’t want to draft a WR until mid or later rounds. Load up on offensive and defensive linemen

He's not even the WR I'd want from his own school. I think Brown winds up being a beast, honestly. However I think Metcalf winds up being a slightly more productive Cordarelle Patterson.
