Geez I am already hearing people complain about Russell Wilson's performance in the game.
Seriously, did these people actually watch the game? The Steelers o-line was garbage, the Browns were excellent against the run and had pressure all game and even then Wilson started the game 10 for 10.

His numbers were 21/28 for 270 yards 1 TD no INTs and a rating of 117 in that weather and all the pressure they had on him.

The Browns won this game because their defense and o-line were amazing, and their receivers make plays when they needed to.

In these weather conditions, all are necessary, and they had the winning formula. Wilson by no means "lost" this game, kind of funny how people overreact.

Yeah, I'm no fan of his, but to blame that loss on him is pretty ridiculous.

See but once again that’s the problem with just looking at a box score, now yes I know you watched the game but Russ had plenty of rough plays that doesn’t show up in the stats.

Prime example is he has always been sloppy with the football these last several years and takes and takes unnecessary sacks and his sack fumble in the first half directly led to 3 points for Cleveland. Going into the half down 10-3 instead of 7-3 or hell even 7-6 was a big deal.

The Steelers offense went 7 quarters without scoring a touchdown and that’s what Russ brings you, makes some big plays, make some dumbass plays, and looks middle of the road the rest of the game.

Silly.

RW wasn't the reason they lost.

OL got dominated most of the game. Browns showed up to play, and the Steelers didn't. Simple as that. But the Steelers coaching kept routinely shooting themselves in the foot. 4th down fails, pulling Russ to have Fields throw deep balls in arguably the biggest play of the game... Just stupid. Tomlin was diabolically bad last night.

But I agree, Russ played as well as any QB could have in those conditions. But the Steelers mostly just played it safe while the Browns took risks that paid off.

I get you saw the worst in him in Denver. :D :suds:

Curious though, last night which sack was his fault? That o-line gave him so little time and the receivers we doing very little to get open. That fumble was more Myles Garrett being Myles Garrett and a Left Tackle who blows hard vs a problem with Wilson.

Trust me, by no means do I think Wilson is great anymore but the numbers he is putting up while polishing the turd that is the Steelers o-line and play calling has been respectable.

Hey trust me I’m not complaining with how it worked out, Denver paid Russ like $35 million to go away and are a much better team this year with Nix so the past is the past

I mean this one is pretty inexcusable, two receivers wide open in short yardage and Russ tucks it and takes a sack. We saw that time and time again last year

And also yes that fumble was Garrett being a beast but Russ still has no pocket awareness when it comes to knowing when to hold the ball close.

Okay, but it's curious how Tomlin kept subbing Fields into the game. Not sure what message he was sending there. We all know the saying: "If you say you have two quarterbacks, you really don't have one"

Good news for the Browns: Daniel Jones just got released. This seems like a no-brainer for your franchise, right?

He was trying to be fancy with gadget plays. Makes sense as other teams do this. Really none of it was done well.

Their DBs do, the front 7 is playing their asses off and their DBs appear clueless, but they can celebrate like title winners. So there's that, I guess.
Oh my...no matter how bad we play their celebration game never leaves.....could be a dropped ball by an open WR on 1st down and the DBs will have a huge celebration.

Is it farfetched to say the Browns would be 8-3 or 7-4 instead of 3-8 if Jameis Winston started from week 1? They've lost four games by one score.
I'd say we'd have 2-3 more wins for sure.

Have to say great coach but pretty bad at late game/half management.
Been that way his entire career.. And we get chastised whenever we call him a subpar coach. This is the Tomlin we find ourselves with in the postseason and feel like we're stuck spinning tires in the mud every year. He's arrogant, and doesn't change. He relies too heavily on individual performances to cover up his warts. And when those players don't show up, like last night, then his dirty laundry gets aired out for all to see.
