Well, Ryu, Greinke, and Kershaw are all on the bump this series. Hopefully they have good starts and the bats/bullpen can pick them up.
Looks like the Rox are in some trouble after losing Arenado. Hopefully we can pass them up before too long, and chip away at the SF lead by the ASG.
Bottom line is that we need to focus on ourselves, but as fans, we can look around. We just need to play the baseball we are capable of, and let it take care of itself.
Obviously, I really like our rotation. Again, I'm looking for that last starter to help out. My expectations aren't too high, but I'm not a fan of trimming down to a 4 man rotation for any longer than we need. Hopefully Bills can come back strong and carry the back end better than Maholm.
Speaking of Maholm, hopefully he can settle down in the bullpen. I didn't like League's last appearance, but I have enjoyed the appearances before that. We really need some stability in there. I am so tired of giving up leads every game to the bullpen. It stresses out the offense, because they can't ever sit on scoring the 3-5 runs that it takes to win a game, and it stresses out the rotation, because they can't feel safe with handing a 1-2 run lead over to the bullpen. Donnie and Honeycutt have to really start tangibly getting results from those guys.
Today starts off a nice little 10-game homestand. For some reason we are looking like hot garbage in Chavez Ravine this season, so hopefully we can turn it around in this stand.
Go Dodgers!!
