Always found the guy kind of boring. Nothing personal against him, just never cared much for him.

That's what I figured. The type of guy that you don't fully appreciate until he's on your team. Killed the Devils in 2001, so that may be another reason I never fell in love with him, but that was canceled out by his crippling the Rangers with his salary for the past couple of years.

That'd be some shit if Torts just gave the "C" to Richards. Yes, Cally and Duby are young, but they put their time into that team already and have def shown worth to wear that "C". No one should ever just join a team and instantly be a Captain.

And Gaborik is not a leader.

Drury is an awesome player, been a fan of his for many years... But he is long in the tooth, he's had a great career. But I wouldn't want him on Boston's team right now. We have clutch guys, we need steady offense. I am really hoping the young guns flourish with the experience of last years run.

Out of respect to his career accomplishments, I will refrain from commenting on his outward appearance for one whole day.

All I know is the city of Buffalo better be on high alert if that one particular puck-bunny is also having her monthly visitor right now. There would be no survivors. The plaintive wail of despair would be heard across the hemisphere.



Seriously, though... Good call on his part. No reason to risk mushy melon any more. Lots of respect for him.
