Well considering he never plays in the ballpark it isn't routine. Not knowing the dimensions is a big part of it, it is a catchable ball but regardless it was a tough catch. Blaming a game on one play is just stupid, I think you even know that.

I can't stand these guys who pussy out with the game on the line.

Like Cruz in 2011, or Gordon not running hard in 2014.

If there is a team that can comeback from this deficit it's the Cubs. Indians aren't taking anything for granted. They need to close this out Tuesday, no if's, and's or but's about that.
Another thing to consider - when you take out Bauer and McCallister, who both should likely be done in this series, the Cubs have logged 2 ER vs. the entire rest of our staff over 5 games.

IMO Going to a Game 7 with all the momentum on the Cubs side is not a situation the Indians want to be in, even if they are at home. Game 7's are unpredictable just like the Cavs coming back from 3-1 in Golden State and taking the trophy home after they had all momentum. I don't like Game 7's, even though we have Kluber pitching.

Better get yourself a Bull Durham style rain out if you can't close it out in 6.

I think this is a bit different. The Cavs just basically figured out the Warriors. That's what allowed them to make the comeback. The Cubs haven't really figured out any Tribe pitcher outside of Bauer and McCallister (as I noted above). We logged two runs against Lester last night on top of 3 more in game 1, and he's their #1. We've hit against every Cubs pitcher but Contreras and Arietta (who we've faced once). I still feel confident given how the first 5 games have gone.

You forget. Jimbo harbaugh was in the stands last night. His aura of greatness washed over the Cubs.so that's why they won a game at Wrigley. ..

Is this really the way to get invited to Harbaugh's next sleepover? I think someone gets a stiffy watching Jimbo dance on the sideline

I think the one guarantee is that Game 6 ( and Game 7 if there is one ) will be low scoring. The Cubs haven't done anything vs Tomlin/Kluber/Miller/Allen and likewise the Indians haven't done anything vs Arrieta/Hendricks/Chapman. I think those 7 guys have given up 2 ER combined the entire series. The advantage the Indians have is they've got room for error and they only need 5-6 innings out if their starters. The advantage the Cubs have is they've got more rested pitching. Should be exciting

Add Shaw to those Indians pitchers. He's been masterful this series - 3 appearances, 3 2/3 IP, 0 ER, 3 hits, 6 Ks

I LOVE game 7s. When the Indians aren't playing in them. . .

Seriously though, here's some perspective: The Indians just went into Wrigley Field and took two out of three. That's bad ass, and I'm sure that if I'd asked any of you Tribe fans last Friday if you'd be content with taking two out of three in Chicago, you'd have been ecstatic.

Well here we are. We need to win one of two home games and we've got two pitchers starting that have a combined ERA of 1.18 this postseason and a fully rested best bullpen in the majors.

Anything can happen, and we're tentative because they lost last night, but we're in pretty damn good shape.

Roll Tribe!!!

Shaw/Miller/Allen you could really make this a 4 inning game if you really wanted to.

And if CLE goes up like 3-0 after 4, Francona just might do that.

I thought Salazar might be a used a little more in this series just because his stuff is electric and you knew Bauer was likely to struggle.

I wouldn't have minded Bauer for 3, Salazar for 2 and then SAM.

You must have been livid with the Red Sox in the ALDS.

Team slash: .214/.278/.378/.655

They were terrible.

You won't get an argument for me.

I've been pulling for CLE since they knocked the Sox out.

I'm obviously a big Tito fan.

But I also picked CLE to win the WS the last 2 years due to their staff and the 1-2 back end of Shaw and Allen.

But man, fucking Guyer just ruined it for me.

Besides, fuck the Cubs for the way they acted with zero integrity for the Theo trade.

Hendricks 2016 ERA
Home: 1.32
Away: 2.95

Plus, the only offenses he faced in 2016 that are as formidable as the Indians were COL and STL, and he was 1-4 against them.

Arrieta 2016 ERA
Home: 2.62
Away: 3.59

Cubs are a great team - maybe the best in baseball this year - so this definitely isn't in the bag, but the Indians have the advantage from here on out.

A Red Sox fan having an issue with another team's FO integrity. That's funny as hell.

Even so, I do agree with you, fuck the Cubs!
