didnt the Sox brass let out a bunch of info about prescription drug use on Francona and all?

Yeah, and stuff about his marriage, etc. They have a habit of doing that shit - establishing a PR smear campaign against personnel that they chased out, or want out. Manny, Foulke, Tito.

That's why I laughed when The Q (Red Sox fan) was questioning the "integrity" of another front office. Red Sox FO is slimy as fuck.

DD is what we'll call good enough.

Let's not forget he wsa the main architect behind the 1994 expos, he was the GM for the 97 WS Champ Marlins, and built a huge part of that 2003 Marlins team as well, not to mention bringing detroit back from the dead in the early to mid 2000s.

Oh and it looks like his rebuilding moves before leaving DET worked out pretty well (Michael Fulmer FTW!!).

The manager has his own title in 2013. But agreed he's not an upgrade from Francona.

The bottom line is that Red Sox ownership backed the wrong horse with Lucchino v. Theo.

I think Francona was leaving after 2011 no matter what. That part is JMO though.

Dombrowski is severely overrated. That's why, as an Indians fan, I was sad to see him leave Detroit. Yeah, he made the playoffs four years, but he significantly outspent his divisional rivals in what was a historically shitty time in the AL Central. Even still, he usually only one the division by a game or two.

If he had to go though, the Red Sox is one of the teams I'd like him to go to. Hopefully, he'll keep rubbing money on problems, spend a shitload of cash, win nothing and leave them with an empty pantry of prospects, just like he did in Detroit.

I do look forward to watching Cashman eat his lunch for the foreseeable future.

CLE needs to put this away, these playoffs have already slowed down my productivity enough.

Playoff baseball is my own personal Ramadan.

I enjoy it as well just not used to having a dog in the fight. Future is bright on the north side I guess I better get used to it hopefully.

Cub's future is interesting.

They'll likely have to replace Arrieta nad Lackey after 2017.

So really this 3 year window (2015-2017) is likely to be their best shot considering how loaded their rotation has been.

But they could always sign someone to replace those guys too.....

I assume they will fill in pitching as needed as it should be an attractive lure for FA pitchers

Doesn't get nearly as much love as Miller's been, but Cody Allen is having a great postseason as well.

11.2 IP, 0 R, 8 hits, 4 walks, 22 strikeouts

If there's a lead after 5. He and Miller might be getting 12 outs tonight.
