SportsChic, nice to see a familiar avitar from CBS...

I'm not ready to write off Emery just yet. Even after the McClellin pick. Maybe I mentioned this earlier, but if McClellin was an Emery pick (as opposed to a Lovie pick), it didn't surprise me that Lovie didn't know how to use him. (Remember, Lovie benched Hester from returning kicks.) Lovie's schemes and his loyalties to certain players didn't always work to the Bears' advantage. I'm trying not to harp on Lovie too much. Just trying to make a point.

The Blackhawks Stan Bowman came under scrutiny for trading Cam Barker for unknown Nick Leddy. Time has shown that Stan got the better of that deal.

And maybe Emery didn't do well in KC. But Bill Belichick didn't do well in Cleveland either. Let's see if time is just as good to Emery.

But so far he is drafting like D'Angelo but agree, lets give him some time. However made some great FA signings early in the last two off seasons.

we will have to see, we got some good players in this draft, we just don't know if they will cut it in camp. If 2 of them start it will be a good draft.

No one wanted us to take Teo, so they got that, if we didnt i wanted Ogletree , they say Long would have been there in round 2 but the way Olineman were going i don't think he woulda. we drafted him way early but we got him, so if our scouts and GM had him on the board they did it right, the problem we will all have is he has only started 5 games, so he is still learning everything, the thing on his side is the O coordinator is a former Olineman coach and was really good at it so he can probly teach him whatever he needs.

which really he will be able to help all the Olineman we have already too. he might have been able to salvage Chris Williams too , but we will never know now, Of course i really thought Mike Tice would have been too, Maybe it was Pure lack of talent or he just didnt have what it takes to build a good Line in this league.

I think Tice's dick gets in his way of good coaching.

Its about time they actually addressed the biggest problem the bears have had for years, the Oline. Off season and through the draft, the oline should be much improved. So much is left to be seen. What kind of offense is going to be implemented and how quick will the players catch on, especially with so many new faces. Its exciting and horrifying at the same time.

we did finally address the offensive line! both in free agency and in the draft. hopefully we did more than enough to make it right, also hiring an oline guru helps too, our new O coordinator is a great Oline coach too.

he could have done 15 if the egos of both sides hadnt gotten in the way.

Agreed.

He shoulda had surgery sooner on his knee, and then he rushed back too soon as well.

Seeing as how he shredded it in a meaningless game at the very end of said game, is pretty annoying too.

But our's 1st pick is a project and could of grabbed Kyle Long with our 50th pick.

1st Shea McCullen last year and now a project that most likely won't start until 2014, So more of J'Marcus Webb scrub type of blocking.

Jay Cutler should be smart and take a quick look at his bland side every pass play.

You guys got the rookie of the year in Marquees Wilson, keep your chin's up.

The predominant word that I have heard associated with this kid, is STEAL. A lot of pundits saying he's the steal of the draft. I hope. They could use some depth if nothing else.

I hope we hire a good QB back up. i wish urlacher could make it 1 more season, but he didnt. I think Urlacher would have had a great season this year if he would have played. But i also think we have alot of future in our draft picks.

Heya briggs...the whole way Urlacher's career ended is depressing...from unnecessary injuries, to regime-changes....kinda sad...but as mentioned above...helluva career.

The Bears traded Carimi to the old Wisconsin OL coach in Tampa for a sixth rounder. It's s shame that they couldn't find a way to use his elite run blocking.
