When predicting the NU/Ohio St score...I actually spotted NU 7 points for a kick return.

It was Ohio St that got the kick return.
Our special teams defense had shown to be suspect earlier in the year, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and was wrong again. It was a 14 point swing on my prediction.

The oline can't pass block for shit there footwork sucks and I don't understand how Nebraska will ever be better than 9 to 8 win team with mediocre oline play. Bo needs to go out and higher the best oline coach money can buy. Cause ARod, Quvale, and Sirles all suck at pass blocking.

It's where Bo needs to start.

The players looked more physical in spring practice and still do. It doesn't appear the 'beefing up' has translated to strength or conditioning tho.

Dobson has been here since 2008. Take away Suh (who has natural strength) and what do we have on the lines?

Bo even said Suh was the "strongest player he's ever coached".

Learning a bit more about James Dobson.

He was never "Head" strength and conditioning coach anywhere before he came to Nebraska.

He's a Wisconsin alum and served on the same staff that included Callahan and Cosgrove. negged

He spent 2 years as "Assistant" strength and conditioning coach @ SMU.

9 years as "Assistant" strength and conditioning coach @ Iowa.

Pops it has more to do than that. The footwork on pass blocking is piss poor. They cross there feet and get out of balance and can't punch. Doesn't matter how strong they are footwork and keeping there ass underneath them if they can't do that they'll get beat everytime. Cotton needs to go.

Even Dammon was critical of Meredith this morning. He said giving effort 2 out of every 4 seconds of a play aren't cutting it. I've been saying it since the S. Miss game. Meredith quits before the play is over dang near all the time.

Red Alert. I'm gonna give Kaz the benefit of doubt he hasn't been here a full year. Dobson maybe part of the problem. But strength isn't everything. Hand placement and technique on the dline and quickness all plays into how good lineman will be. I look at Iowa and coach Kaz track record is pretty good IMO. Cotton has been here as long as Pelini has been the head coach and the oline has not improved under his tenure. Cotton also got help two years ago in the form of Garrison. Two oline coaches and the oline play sucks. Cotton needs to go and the check book needs to open up and Pelini needs to higher the best oline coach money can buy. Hopefully our new AD will allow that to happen.

We've certainly taken a step back w/ Kaz (in his first year), but we are 6 games into the season w/ a spring and fall practice to boot.

NU's D-line has been shit since Suh left. Dobson is an ass for taking credit for a naturally gifted strong man.

I don't make excuses for Cotton, but as you said Cotton also got help from Garrison two years ago and the players still struggle w/ D-lines.
Looking at the rushing numbers, I'd say Cotton/Garrison are getting all they can out of the O'line considering what they're being given to work with from the training table and the weight room. NU's offensive numbers are actually respectable (take away the mistakes).

When it comes to mistakes....Holding, false starts etc...Those are generally caused by players getting manhandled. They are trying to get an edge or they stop concentrating. They are mentally defeated.

Prior to arriving at NU, Dobson had never been "Head" Strength and Conditioning Coach. He was always an assistant. He also has the bad Callahan and Cosgrove seed in him from his days at Wisconsin.
