Again, that 63 is misleading.

Back in the Callahan days, teams were actually slowing down by the time the 4th quarter started so they wouldn't score 90 on us.......and it was because our Defense was THAT bad.

Ohio State had like 50 more total yards than us............

We MUST eliminate mistakes. Our line play can't get much better in the middle of the season........but what can get better is Taylor's decision making. It's as simple as not making dumbass decisions.

At this point that's like asking water not to be wet.

So our mistakes are THAT bad. It doesn't matter how you get to the end product.

Mistakes can be fixed though........

Bad Defense is a different story.

Our Defense wasn't good, but it wasn't even half as bad as a Cosgrove Defense.

That 63 points is at least 30 points misleading........I'm gonna go ahead and say it right now. We are not that fucking bad. Come the fuck on people.......I knew right when the game ended without even looking at the stats that they didn't ACTUALLY beat us as bad as the scoreboard said.

Our safety play is atrocious. Some guys really live up to their JUCO rep, but that is bogus. Look at David.

Yes but before the season he tempered expectations.

He didn't commit to saying this team was amazing before he got a good idea of where they were at by ACTUALLY PLAYING GAMES.

That's the difference between the great Urban Meyer and an average coach, mad dog Pelini.

I don't know if there's another team in the country with that many misses in two years who has ever done better than 7-8 wins. It's frankly a miracle we are this good.

You ask any college coach and they will tell you that you just can't afford to miss like that. Even missing on 14 guys is bad. Its too competitive these days. If you told Bo he'd have 28 misses in his first two recruiting classes he would honestly tell you that there is no way he can win. He would be worried about his job security.

How many of those misses would be developed into good or great players under a "real" coach like Meyer for example?

IMHO---I believe this to be true to an extent. Bo will play players with the knowledge of the scheme over athleticism. La Vonte was the exception after a period of time. I remember a game where David lit up the tackle numbers and reporters where all La Vonte this La Vonte that. Bo's next comment;(sternly) believe me La Vonte David made plenty of mistakes out there, he's got a long way to go. He didn't praise La Vonte for busting his ass that day, Bo just saw mistakes. How many time's have we heard the phrase "He's swimming in it", which means he doesn't grasp the concept, although he may be a play maker the kid doesn't get it nor will he see the field for that reason.
Austin Cassidy for example: How many times did he get burned, but remained on the field. Not to pick on Austin, but I thought we had better athlete's who could do a better job. Eric Martin would be another prime example. The kid's a play maker but rarely on the field prior to this year.
Hope all that babble makes sense. Sometimes I'm not very good at explaining what I mean.
Again this is just my opinion.

Let's face the facts, Bo not only is an average coach, but he's a prick also.

:nono:

We still recruit better than Iowa.

We'll always be better than them.

I don't know Brasky, we may get our asses handed to us in Iowa City this year the way Pelini coaches.

I'm just sad it's to the point where we can pretty much guarantee we get blown out at least once or twice every single year.

That wasn't the only blowout we will suffer this year guys. Hate to break it to you but we are in for more pain and suffering.

I wouldn't put it out of the realm of possibility that we get 70 hung on us. I mean it's just 7 more points than the lowly tOSU offense scored.

What a joke Bo Pelini is.

Pelini as a defensive guru is a fraud.

Jest goes to show how College Football has changed over the years......

Back when offense was 85% dives straight up the gut and 15% play action to the TE.....

Now we have these kids running 4.3 40's and jumping over cars...

It's funny to see JJM try his hardest to rationalize right now.

You will see soon enough.

Ohio State is the best team in the league, but they are not that much better than Nebraska. Play that game over in Lincoln and let's see if we end up with 63-38.......

Doesn't matter though......it happened. We could beat that team, they aren't actually good enough to put up 63 points on us without our Offense and Special Teams contributing a great deal towards it. They're good for about 31 points on Nebraska, and that is about it.
