Make the playoff at least eight teams, and most of the above arguments and bellyaching evaporate.
Teams 5 and 6 chose their fate. #5 had a terrible schedule, and #6 lost to #5.

Fiesta Bowl is scheduled to announce its teams in a half hour.OT - when do they start selections for the bowl games?
Bump for truth.
If the committee simply think OSU is better that is fine.
OSU might just be better.
But, bullshit reasons about better strength of schedule is lame....It doesn't hold any water.

Why in Gods name would you take USF or UCF over Boise, Houston or BYU.
Boise, Cincy, Houston, BYU

Looks like you needed 11 wins to be in the discussion...TCU and Baylor came up short.
Question since I can't remember and too lazy to look up:
Is it the NCAA or each conference, themselves, that decide on the number of conference games to be scheduled within each conference?

Conference. PAC plays 9, SEC plays 8.
Ohio St just destroying Wisconsin cemented them as the team most likely to win it all between the 3 teams in question and that is why I have them in. Those of you acting like they had some superior SOS are smoking crack though. I can't find a single computer that had them significantly higher than Baylor or TCU overall for some of you to be so matter of fact about it. At worse it was pretty much a wash and their average margin of victory was pretty much a wash too. It was unbelievably close and for Jeff Long to act like it wasn't is the only thing that bothers me.
That is stupid. Team 4 lost to a team that is 6-6, but you want to criticize TCU for losing to Baylor?
TCU, Baylor, and Ohio State were all close. Baylor beat KState, which pulled H2H into play for comparing TCU and Baylor. Baylor eliminates TCU from discussion. Now compare Baylor and Ohio State. Ohio State had a significantly tougher schedule than Baylor, so they get the nod.
This should not be hard to follow...
