i think it's ridiculous for anyone to think the 2012 showing has anything to do with nd's ranking today.. that's excuse making at best.

ND has never played a FCS school like ASU (Weber State 2014). Also ND hasn't played any team this year as shitty as New Mexico (terrible ever since they left the Big Sky Conference). ASU's biggest win was against subpar Stanford. And ASU's single loss was a 62-27 loss playing host to UCLA. I don't really have a point here other than I assume you are an ASU fan and you are stupid.

We win 10 games at the most last season, with Golson at QB.

Golson is a turnover machine just like Rees. Not to mention, our defense was a step below last season with a boring and repetitive scheme. The team as a whole is much better this season, from the defense/VanGorder to the QB and Folston coming into his own. A lot more team speed as well
