How many years did we have talking heads tell us the BCS worked... it put the two best teams in the NCG?

Now we know what the BCS would have had for us this year... an undefeated FSU vs the SEC champion. What a farce...

The CFP didn't get the 4 best teams in the playoff this year. That is why we have to get to 8. Maybe then the SEC can get 2 teams in.... LOL!

No, I don't think the SEC was. People tried to tell others that the SEC teams that were ranked high still had to play each other and would knock each other down, but people pretended like week 8 rankings were some big deal.

There was only 1 scenario that would have allowed it to happen and it didn't even come close to happening.

As well as having conference championship games making the regular season match-up between the two schools meaningless. And, we all know how precious the regular season is in college football….

huh? The SEC started doing the conference championship back in 92 and the big worry was that it would knock a potential team out of the hunt for a national championship.

I've never heard anyone say it would make any potential season match ups meaningless like ever in the 20+ years of it.
