Nobody else can keep up. Is this bad for the long term health of the game? Ohio State is the only team outside of the south that can compete right now.

How about adjusting it to: "CFB has basically become the Alabama, Clemson, and Ohio State".

We'll add LSU to that mix if they win it.

Why do you consider the whole conference when only one team from the conference has a CFP championship? Same as the B1G and the ACC.

Doesn't every generation have it's elite teams of the era?

Do you think college football will forever be this way?

Much of it has to do with elite coaches, of which there are only a few in each generation.

Where was Clemson before Dabo?

Hindsight is 20/20, but basically Nebraska, FSU, and Miami owned the 1990's.

"That's it. Nobody else can keep up."

Then those coaches all retired.

IMO OU would have made a better game of it if their players weren't hooked on weed. Riley needs to take back control of his team.

Impact players not to mention the psychological effect it had on the team right before the big game.
Please, psychological effects might hurt Washington every season or so, Oklahoma just got hammered because they didn't have a lock down defense. Once the Sooners got behind it was over. You're over thinking it.

Truth. I blame their conference mates, not Bama, Clem and Ohio State.

Basically Saban is nearing the end of his coaching career. He's 68 and historically there's a huge drop off in wins at 75.

Dabo's only 50 so he's likely gonna be around a long time. The question is his allegiance to Clemson if his alma mater Alabama comes calling.

Urban was elite: Retired (for now) but at 55 he's still got a good 10-15 years.

Lincoln Riley has yet to be in the elite club. He's the product of a shitty tejas run Big 12. Nobody underachieves like tejas. NOBODY.

Ryan Day has yet to be in the elite club. He inherited what Urbs left. It remains to be seen what he'll do in a couple years when the Urbs fingerprints have washed off.

Ed Orgeron is 58 and has seemingly taken LSU to the next level. It remains to be seen if he can keep them there and become elite.

USC is one elite coach away from joining the fraternity. .

Dabo isn't leaving Clemson. He has it made there.

And that is another thing. Some coaches are 'loyalty' away from becoming elite. Bob Stoops let Venables get away because of his loyalty to brother Mike.

That's quite a statement. We shall see.

Dabo's got 20 years invested in the University of Alabama to include being a player there. Alabama is a blue-blood with piles of cash to throw around. He was born and raised in Alabama.

I agree that he has it made in Clemson, but in the SEC when Momma calls …
