I really hope the Knicks toss 12+ million per year at him. There are rumors that he did everything but light the building on fire during his exit interview

1.) Rozier was lousy on the court last season.
2.) There were rumblings that he was dissatisfied during the season.
3.) At the conclusion of the season, he ran to the media and proceeded to whine. He threw shade on both Kyrie and the Celtics coaching staff.
^ All of that together really pisses me off. If you're gonna be mouthy, you better be good.
And oh, btw, of course you lost "your role" to Kyrie. He's Kyrie Irving, you're Terry Rozier.
Terry could have made the best of the situation, but instead he took a lot of bad shots and was a drag on the 2nd unit.
Trade up to #4 and get Garland. I mean if ATL offers the #8 and 10 than no way Boston can beat it but if they don't sign Rozier they need a PG.
Heading into FA, here is a quick look at the current Celtics depth chart.
I'm naturally assuming that both Kyrie and Horford are gone-zo.
Players that may or may not return are highlighted in red.
PG - Terry Rozier, Marcus Smart, Brad Wanamaker, Carsen Edwards, PJ Dozier, Tremont Waters
SG - Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Gordon Hayward, PJ Dozier, Romeo Langford, RJ Hunter
SF - Gordon Hayward, Jayson Tatum, Marcus Morris, Jaylen Brown, Semi Ojeleye, Romeo Langford, Grant Williams
PF - Jayson Tatum, Marcus Morris, Daniel Theis, Semi Ojeleye, Grant Williams
C - Robert Williams III, Daniel Theis, Guerschon Yabusele, Semi Ojeleye
-----------
There are big questions to answer at all of PG, PF, and C.
The C's are loaded with bodies at the wing positions... and this help answer some concerns in other areas, because in today's NBA you can trot out 3 or 4 or sometimes even 5 wings and still have a playable line-up.
Still... a whole lot up in the air. And perhaps most notably: not a single NBA big man with quality, proven experience is currently locked down. Tatum isn't a real big, he's more our PF by default.
Yep... among others. They are interested in Steven Adams

Russell is an interesting option. And the fact that Boston traded away Baynes, who had a very team-friendly salary, just to open up more cap space suggests that the C's want to make a splash of some sort. Russell would definitely qualify as a splash. The answer is deangelo Russell for the mini max and Nerlins Noel

I don't particularly like Noel... but he is a live, big man body... so he might be an option. How about Dedmon from Atlanta?
Yeah Adams seems unrealistic, I mean if OKC is just looking to dump salary they could give them Smart, Ojeleye and a future draft pick or something along those lines but it seems like the C's need to find a PG first. This is a shooting league, don't get me wrong big men are important, but not as much as they were in the past.
But even after making that trade and adding Adams to the roster, signing draft picks. If they were to renounce everyone they would have a little over 25M in cap. Not quite enough to get Russell but pretty damn close.
Dump dancing bear, that’s over 3m
Yep... among others.
I've seen Boston rumored to be interested in just about every big who might be available... which totally makes sense because 1.) the C's seemingly get attached to most rumors and 2.) the C's have a desperate need in this area.
So who knows what the move will end up actually being.
just saw this.Kanter to Boston 2/10.
It’s decent value.
Defense plus minus hates him. DBPM has him almost neutral.
Yeah, it's not a perfect picture in the traditional front court.PF is worse than C right now...
