Dunn is more polished offensively than Westbrook was at 22, so that goes to my point of him being a Westbrook-lite. Will he reach that potential? Who knows. I do know that he is a rare talent though, and I want PHX to clear up a guard or two so we can take him.

Agree, they have to make some moves.

Kris Dunn | Point guard | Providence

This is where the intrigue begins. The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Tuesday night that Dunn’s representatives won’t give his medical info to the Suns and Celtics, instead hoping to get him to a team without a point guard. But the Celtics are on the hunt for a star, and could easily move this pick for one – and Dunn is an electric talent with a ton of upside.

Boston has too many guards, period. That said, Dunn is in high demand this year as a true and traditional PG. Somebody will approach the green with a deal.

I'm having a hard time finding it online, but are there any specific rules on swapping players for draft picks in the NBA? I know player-for-player, the salaries have to be similar, and I wasn't sure how that worked with a draft pick.

Just like Westbrook. Lol I'm tellin ya... Dunn is the one teams need to get if they can't get Simmons.

I prefer Wade Baldwin at 16.

Who can shoot, and tested BETTER than Westbrook athletically. Major sleeper IMO.

Reading through the draft rumors it seems the draft class is weak from 6 through 15, meaning, no chance for any superstars as a best case. But draft is considered deep for bench players. I could see Danny moving up a few slots on the 23 pick, maybe to Indiana at 20, swapping those and throwing in the 35. That could give them Wade Baldwin, Sabonis, and still draft Thon Maker. Maybe Bentil even drops low in round 2. Trading 3 to sixers and getting Okafor could be in the mix. Maker, Sabonis and Bentil go to Portland, Baldwin and Okafor join Mickey as the new bigs.

if the C's came out of the draft with Bender, Baldwin and Maker...that's a home run.

Maybe not year 1, but long term.

The draft class is weak from number 3 onwards

Next years class will be much better for sure. There is no Durant in this class. Mostly 2 to 3 year projects. I suspect buddy may be ROY tho.

Noel is what the Celtics need.

Dunn is what Philly needs.

Something has to work when you start there.

They have to trade some of those pieces. Almost doesn't matter who it is but they will 5 front court players to play 3 positions and no backcourt.

I refuse to believe Saric is coming over this when he can make more money by staying over one more season.

Who knows what his reasons are. I have to imagine there has to be a way for the Sixers to make that choice easier.

LogicMan back from the ban. Very nice. Danny needs to do something with some of these drafts picks. Not really enough roster space to use them all. Could try to sell some of those second rounders at least.

Team trading the picks must have cap space equal to or above the player being traded for.

Latest rumor is that the lakers may take Dunn with the #2 pick. AND they are looking very closely at Bender.
Dunn publicly told the Celtics NOT to draft him, he does not want to play for the Celtics.
I'd draft him anyway and waste the pick. Offer him a minimum salary and watch him sulk
for three years.

Ainge can be patient....no need to panic. There must be a 6'10" Division III kid out there just waiting to become the next Kevin McHale.

Rule those second rounders are tough to move. Maybe if it was next year. But yeah. They have no space on the roster. I see Thon or Bentil in Portland minors next year.
