That and it would be another guy of the same mold lol. Pretty versatile games but inconsistent jump shooting.

If Celts go guard it's gotta be Murray or Hield.

I think you will get Murray in Minny.

All it takes is the Celtics biting on Bender.

But, if they end up trading the pick, you might be in trouble.

I have been reading about your boy and watching some video.

You are right....Murray > Buddy

@mr.hockey4242 Didn't the Celtics draft 2 guards last year?

RJ Hunter was one. I don't remember the other and don't care enough to look it up....lol

They need to trade some of those guys.

They more than any Team need to try to trade for Cousins or sign a Horford type.

Maybe even package a guard, not Isiah Thomas, with the #3 for Butler.

Terry Rozier was the other. The Celtics do have a shit load of guards. Thomas, Turner(not sure when he's off the books), Smart and Bradley. Then last year they drafted RJ Hunter and Terry Rozier, year before that they drafted James Young. They've been stockpiling guards the same way Philly has been stockpiling bigs.

It's time to start flipping guys.

Yup they have a ton of guards so unless it's a great shooter it's a bad route. I'm thinking Hunter might even be a lost cause already.

Getting Butler would be huge but the price of the pick and Crowder/Bradley has to go down. Can't give up both.

And in regards to Murray there is just so much to love about his game. Buddy is a nice safe bet, but I need some upside at 5. Murray can end up a 25 ppg guy(bold but possible).

As you said the Celtics really need a post guy so if they can't get a big name stud they probably gotta go Bender in the draft which makes Murray available at 5.

Smart and #3 for the #1? Boston can get Simmons (Bill Simmons would love that) and Philly gets some guards to play with their bigs.

In any other year that might make some sense, but the consensus is, is that this is a 2 man draft, and there's a pretty sizable gap after the top 2. I'd rather have Simmons or Ingram than a combination of Smart and Murray/Hield/Bender etc.

I'd do that tomorrow.

From Philly, can we talk about Noel and Covington?

Noel and Covington for #3? I'd do that if I was the Sixers.

Yep. Continue to try and clear out the logjam. I like Covington more than some others might feel though.

Yeah... Impossible to move a guy who still only has hype from his college career that has Andrew Bynum knees. One of the errors the Sixers made. I respect them for their patience in him though.

Then you take him.

I don't see him as that. He's already 22, a turnover machine and his poor FT shooting makes me question his 3pt shooting number from this year.

That sounds like a lot of the stuff they were saying about Russell Westbrook when he declared…

Not saying he's that talented, but he's a freakish athlete that can rebound, pass and score at will. When locked in, he's got elite defensive potential as well. A lot of people are sleeping on him.

I admittedly wasn't a westbrook fan.

He was a below average passer, ballhandler and shooter when came out of UCLA.

You mean before they fired their GM. I believe their patience ran out.

I'm not sure we'll ever see a player develop in the NBA offensively like Westbrook has.

Dunn is more polished offensively than Westbrook was at 22, so that goes to my point of him being a Westbrook-lite. Will he reach that potential? Who knows. I do know that he is a rare talent though, and I want PHX to clear up a guard or two so we can take him.

Zach Lavine made a pretty big leap from his rookie year to this year, imo. His athleticism is off the charts and he's just starting to figure out how to really play the game. With Thibs there now, who know's what his ceiling might be. Could eventually be a more of an outside shooting RW.
