In honor of the CFB Sesquicentennial, post your personal A-Z CFB experiences.
Here are mine:
A = Alabama Crimson Tide in the 70s, the team of my youth
B = Bowl Games: I've been to 42 - which is tied for 17th with Arkansas All-time
C = Carlos Carson from LSU (5 catches for 5 TDs and 201 yards) vs. Rice in 1977!
D = Down Under for 2016 California vs. Hawaii @ ANZ(ed) Olympic Stadium in Sydney, Australia
E = End Zones of checkerboards @ Tennessee (2012 vs. Alabama) and @ Fresno State (1995 vs. BYU and 2016 vs. Air Force)
F = Florida vs. Fla. State (1996 and 1997)
G = Gator Bowl, been to 5 of them (1991, 2001, 2003, 2007 and 2014)
H = @ Hawaii (2002 game vs. Alabama)
I = Iowa State Cyclones, my Alma Mater
J = Jackson's Mississippi Memorial Stadium (1983 LSU-Ole Miss)
K = Kentucky's "My Old Kentucky Home"
L = Legion Field, the stadium of my youth - where I saw many Alabama games AND my first Iowa State game!
M = Mark Ingram, Alabama's first Heisman Winner
N = Northwestern, my Chicago-land team!
O = Ohio Stadium, The Best Damn Stadium in the Land!
P = Pitt's OLD Pitt Stadium (1993 vs. BC) and NEW Heinz Field (2003 vs. VPI)
Q = Quick Kick (Alabama vs. Arkansas in the 1980 Sugar Bowl!)
R = Reggie Bush from Southern California compiling 335 Total Yards @ UCLA in 2004
S = Seneca Wallace from Iowa State compiling 493 All-Purpose yards vs. Mizzou in 2002
T = Troy Davis from Iowa State running for 378 vs. Mizzou in 1996
U = Upper Deck @ LSU's Tiger Stadium (Tulane in 1978)
V = Vick, Michael from VPI (2001 Gator Bowl MVP)
W = Washington's Husky Stadium (Southern California in 1992)
X = Xavier Betia...Wide Right in the 2004 Orange Bowl
Y = Yea Alabama!
Z = Zebbie Lethridge (Texas Tech vs. Southern California in the 1995 Cotton Bowl)
