Nebraska fans don’t get to talk about a lack of defense.
It's pretty funny that a fan of a team who hasn't made a bowl game in 2 seasons is crapping on a Texas team that just won 10 games....something Nebraska last did 7 years ago. Talk about a team pulling down a conference....when Nebraska is in a division that allowed 9-5 Northwestern to win it.

So Ehlinger rated better than Hurts ? Seriously ?

Just look at career stats. Ehlinger has played in an easier defensive league and lags behind in a lot of categories.

Let's just take the 2 years Hurts started vs Ehlinger.

Hurts passing 4,861 yards 40 TD's 10 INTs
Hurts rushing 1,809 yards 21 TD's
Hurts Total Offensive production 6,670 yards 61 TD's

Ehlinger in his 2 years as a starter

Ehlinger passing 5,207 yards 36 TD's 12 INTs
Ehlinger rushing 863 yards 18 TD's
Ehlinger Total Offenisve production 6,070 yards 54 TD's

Stick Jalen in the Big 12 those 2 seasons and that margin expands further.

Expanded stats

Yards passing per attempt
Hurts 8.0
Ehlinger 7.4

Yards per rush
Hurts 5.2
Ehlinger 3.1

This really isn't a contest. Hurts is also a slightly more accurate passers

Hurts 62.9 percent completion percentage
Ehlinger 61.9

How Ehlinger even got into Tier 1 on this list is just odd.

Texas and Herman are “trendy”.

It won’t stop until they get their second loss against the likes of KSU or Iowa St.

Tier V isn't in numerical order. It's all the QBs that have transferred:

"The transfer quarterbacks in this tier are looking to make the most of their second opportunity."

As bad is everyone in this posts' reading comprehension is, it also makes the article pretty stupid in that many in that tier are obviously in higher tiers, but for the fact they transferred.

CBS Sports should have ranked them as Group 1 (non-transferring QBs), then rated them by tiers; and Group 2 (transferring QBs), and put them in tiers; then there would probably be less arguing.

CBS fail!

I don’t know if top Tier Brandon Wimbush is going to start. He is very talented. But we have one hell of a QB battle going on in Orlando. It’s four deep. We have never seen anything like this.

And to think, for years UCF didn’t even have a QB and still won Championships.

Our Rise to Dominance is ahead of schedule.

It's pretty funny that a fan of a team who hasn't made a bowl game in 2 seasons was able to hold Ohio State under 62 points last season.

FIFY. There's always next year.

By the way, that Northwestern team you are making fun of... Michigan needed a 4th quarter comeback to beat by 3 points. Mad that they have made the B1G title game more than Michigan?

Lol, an OSU fan discounting wins because of comebacks. Tell me, in the last 15 years how many times has OSU beat Michigan in a 4th quarter comeback? At least 1/3 of the time if not more.

Uh... @Blackshirts BLVD is definitely not an OSU fan. It doesn't even take reading comprehension to figure that out. Just being able to look at a picture and recognize the CLEARLY Nebraska logo...

OSU... hmmm... you can think about that.

Oh I am by no means "discounting" the win. There was no controversy that I recall, Michigan won full stop. But you throw Northwestern under the bus as if they were the #5 team in the nation and lost to someone like... I don't know.... App State or something.

But the fact is that they were apparently tough enough to not just win the West, but to nearly beat Michigan and put up a better fight against Ohio State than Michigan.

Purdue beat OSU....that doesn't mean much other than they caught OSU sleeping. NW was a 9-5 team....that team shouldn't be close to wining the division in the B10. But because of the massively unbalanced divisions, it was possible.

Again with the 9-5. You do know that the division representative isn't based on overall record right?

Northwestern was 8-1 in conference, same as Michigan and Ohio St and 6-0 in divisional play.. same as Ohio St, hence the two meeting in the CCG. And again that one loss was against Michigan that needed a comeback in the 4th quarter to close it. I am not saying that Northwestern is a world beater, but they apparently weren't a push over either.

And they did what was required to go to the title game. Stop trying to beat up on the nerds of the conference.

Stanley is a projected first rounder . So he's tier 1 where it counts lol

Say you're forced to put your life savings on Stanley being a first rounder, or Stanley not being a first rounder. You would choose...?

Probably the latter but it'd be close . Of he has a good year this year he will lock it in but there aren't many first rounders at any position lol

I stopped reading at Adrian Martinez ranked in teir 2. You think OSU fans are giving up Fields (ranked in Teir 5) for fing Adrian Martinez?

Derp. There are 10 QB's listed in tier 2. You expect this board to believe you kept reading past Mason Fine from North Texas? LOL

D'Eriq King, Houston
Mason Fine, North Texas
Adrian Martinez, Nebraska
Ian Book, Notre Dame
Jordan Love, Utah State
Kellen Mond, Texas A&M
K.J. Costello, Stanford
Cole McDonald, Hawai'i
Nathan Rourke, Ohio
Brady White, Memphis

To sum it up, you are CRYING because Shea Patterson is listed tier 3.

Justin Fields is for all practical purposes a true freshman. His only snaps were mop up duty at Georgia. Let him start and play a full season before giving accolades. Remember Ron Powlus and his 4 Heisman's at ND?
Fields will also be working under a new passing game coordinator and QB's coach who's at his first season at Ohio St.

Regarding Martinez, he is on EVERY Heisman watch list for 2019.

Scott Frost and Mario Verduzco have a pretty good record of eyeing talent and developing QB's.

Marcus Mariota 3* (Heisman Trophy Winner)
McKenzie Milton 3* (Heisman Watch List 2018)(Heisman Watch List 2019)

Adrian Martinez 4* (Heisman Watch List 2019)
Martinez was offered by Alabama, Georgia, and Oklahoma.

Nebraska will be lucky to be bowl eligible again. So putting a below average player high on lists like this, makes the opinion of the person creating the list subject to criticism.

Nebraska has played in a CCG in the last 7 years. How 'bout Michigan?
