I'm in favor of the owners and players, getting together, to cut the ticket prices by 75%.

I'm sure that is of tantamount importance in their talks.

I'm surprised the players agreed to a hard cap for international players.

That's the first time they've ever agreed to any kind of hard cap.

"According to NBC’s “Hardball Talk,” on Tuesday, Miller Park, home of the Milwaukee Brewers, became the 12th major league ballpark to ban smokeless tobacco with fines ranging from $100 to $250 dollars.

The irony of a ballpark synonymous with brewing beer having to use a smokeless tobacco ban to preserve the health and pleasant viewing experiences of fans should not get lost on anyone. The ballpark certainly needs to cut down on all those incidents of fans dipping and driving, the smokeless tobacco-induced fights, and the fans that pass out in the stands from binge dipping."

This is an outrage that is taking away from the fundamentals of baseball. If you didn't dip on my high school baseball team, you were probably either homosexual or the female scorekeepers. I, for one, will not stand for the bastardization of my beloved past time. Honestly, Buster Posey's actions look harmless next to this injustice

I gotta say I applaud this rule. Look at Javy Baez for the cubs. They show him making all these plays that kids at home are trying to emulate, but then show him in the dugout putting a big wad of chew in his mouth.

They are either role models or they are not role models. Maybe I sat thru too many chew videos thru highschool sport meetings, but these players are making millions, at least show some respect for the next line of players thinking they need to do what their hero's do.

As far as this CBA saving money for owners, I really dont know. Players just started accepting qualifying offers. Last year they claim Fowler had no offers because teams did not think he was worth giving up a first round pick. I think the value of a draft pick has been overvalued way too much. I guess we will see what happens next week, to see if Kansas City will decide to get known prospects in trades for some of their core now that they will probably leave easier getting more offers when they hit free agency.

Good to see a new CBA. Once again baseball proves it's the 1 league that has the most stable relationship with its players.

Will this result in a salary "floor" being implemented? How about a change in revenue sharing? Possibly a fundamental change in free agency due to the removal of draft picks and the qualifying offers?

I personally think that a lockout would be worse for the game than the Pandemic was. It is struggling to keep up with the younger fans as it is, but it would be torpedoed by a work stoppage.
