You agree with that? That's what I was responding too...

pretty good player...most of those guys are...which is why they all batted somewhere between 3rd and 5th, which is the biggest factor in hitting the 100 RBI benchmark...

Any "pretty good hitter" on a "pretty good" or better offense, hitting 3rd-5th in the lineup, is going to threaten 100 RBI...

it's easily the single most over rated benchmark for hitters....

Posted in the drunker than a football bat thread that I probably need to go on the wagon and some guy responded with this. Kind puts things in perspective.

Not sure that is a good idea. I used to drink myself silly on quite a regular basis. So much so that it began to affect my work, not that I cared. I, like you, began contemplating the straight and narrow. I had found a woman that I truly cared for and figured it was time to join the real world. Then my girlfriend got pregnant and I took it as a sign that is was time. I downsized my drinking form Niagara Falls to a faucet drip. Always an advocate of fitness, I threw myself into a life of taking care of my body. After all, I was going to be a father and a husband and was damn set on on doing it right.

Fast forward three years, my life became everything I dreamed it could be. Financial success, Ironman Triathlons and a loving family. Then I was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer and given three months to live. Two years later I am still fighting but it is tearing my family apart and I am faced with a choice of being remembered as a quitter or leaving my family tattered and torn.

Quit drinking?? I would literally give my life to just have one more carefree day to throw back some cold ones and not have a care in the world. Stay drunk, my friend.
