Let me guess. Dusty had a good night bs a minor league team?

And avoiding the Pedroia comparison like Herpes yesterday, you wanna discuss him today?

Awesome, tell me again how "wortless" Ichiro is

Hooray...now we can pick and choose which stats counts...

I answered you yesterday when you posted the OPS #'s...you ignored my comment..as in, it was you running from that comparison...

Incredibly useless...enjoy the one game he factored in while watching the next 9 he doesn't...

I responded, you ran as usual

And that's 2 wins for Ichiro in a week if we are keeping count

And RBI's are extremely important in baseball, fans of winning baseball know this. Fans of just individual play are the ones that dont

They are largely dependent on opportunity, but a hitter still has to seize that opportunity.

It's why Brandon Phillips has had a good year, regardless of his other numbers.

Guy has come up huge in a lot of money spots this year.

Extremely important? No...they're just one statistic of many that measures a degree of production...that's all they are.

if a guy hits 4 ground balls to 2nd base...but happens to have the same guy on 3rd each time..and finishes 0-4 with 4 RBI...he still had a pretty shitty game..that guy on 3rd though?

Get with the times dirt...RBI are no different than Runs...in terms of stats...they're meaningful, but both require outside contributions, and should be waited equally...

The fallacy of RBI statistically proven:

Cano...16 HR 45 RBI
Pedroia 4 HR 45 RBI

It's pedroia doing the better job of driving in base runners dirt, he's knocked in 41 team mates, Cano? 29.....He's also scored 9 more runs...not factoring driving yourself in...Cano has produced 80 runs...Pedroia? 91...he's also created far fewer outs...

Including the 2007 World Series, Pedroia is 11 for 26 with three doubles, four homers and 13 RBIs in 10 games against the Rockies.
