I agree. I would be surprised if the Red Sox finished in the basement again. I would not be shocked if any team from the East won the division, though. I feel the same way about the AL Central, with the exception of the Twins.

I'm not expecting much from the ChiSox (despite some strong pitching) and doubt that the Rays are going to be really good, but there sure aren't any powerhouse looking teams in either division...I guess I'd say the Tigers look to be the strongest of the bunch to me.

The Yankees are obviously nothing special this year. But that whole division is a hot mess. I think anyone can win it, and said as much all Winter. That said, the Yankees are relying on the health of some really soft, injury-prone guys like Ellsbury, Teixiera, Arod, Sabathia, Beltran & others. As long as the back of their bullpen stays upright, they will be tough to beat in close games, though. Those AL East teams should stay pretty close all year, I would think.
