Boozer is a Bench player now. Can start every once in awhile. He gives you no D but can still rebound. Not the scorer anymore.

He could easily give LA 15-16ppg & 9rpg. The Bulls cut his mpg to 28 and he averaged 13.7ppg. That's why his scoring dropped, keep it 100.

I was not a huge fan of Boozer when he was on the Bulls. A lot of screaming and shouting for a player that sat on the pine during the 4th quarter of every game because he was a liability on the floor.

However, with that being said, I think the Lakers are getting a steal for 3.2 million. Boozer will put up 15-18 and grab 7-8 rebounds a game if given 30 minutes. He is not a good defender. Actually he is laughable at times, but he is a great value for the price.

Nicely done Lakers!

Well then he fits perfect for the lakers cause the lakers don't plan on making the playoffs this year anyways :laugh3:
No they won't but they should be back in the playoffs in the 2017/2018 season.

Yeah, we're just gonna have to sit back and watch the great teams go at it this year. KD and Westbrook, San Antonio's Big Three, Miami's Big Thr(Oops I forgot)....
How about the Laker's injury prone lineup?

Well we shall see how all of these moves come together to put a competitive product on the court. Next move I suspect will be the announcement of a hired head coach.

* throws penalty flag *

Excessive roughness, hitting a defenseless receiver, 15 yard penalty, repeat 1st down

Paul Westhead:ss:

All jokes aside, they might as well have kept Trigger Mike for one more year.

Their small-ball lineup would probably flourish.

Not to the point of making the playoffs.

But, they would be competitive :noidea:.

I love how Lakers fan is trying to sell themselves on Boozer. This is great stuff...

What exactly is so horrible about him? I can see why you're pissed, Chicago was paying him an ungodly amount of money for mediocre play.

However, we got him for just over 3 mil and after this season, if he sucks, he's no longer a Laker. If he doesn't we'll see. Not sure how this is a loss for the Lakers?!

Maybe he just hated playing in Chicago? :noidea:

First we're tanking now we get Boozer...? Boozer is nice, he's well worth what we paid, but what the hell do we need him to do...? Isn't he the same guy who told the Cavs and Jazz he was coming back and left both places...? Yeah teach that to Randall...:yahoo:

Seriously, why do we need Boozer... Randall, Davis, Kelly all play PF none play C and neither does he... Really not getting what this plan is... Not only that, how many of you high five-ing each other trashed Pau... We just got a weak version of him... Not really understanding you guys...

For 3 mil there's no selling ourselves involved. Great value for what he brings to the table.

But isn't he taking minutes away from our cornerstone...?:noidea:

Boozer is not a bad player.

He's a decent player on a bad contract...

Just like Lin and Joe Johnson.

I think some people think those situations are mutually exclusive.

The only thing that makes me  my head is....

The Lakers could have had Lin and Asik in the Howard deal.

But, chose to get nothing in return.

The Lakers could have gotten Boozer in a sign and trade for Pau.

Again, chose to get nothing.

Yet, they ended up with 2 of the 3 players anyway:L.

I don't know what the Bulls were offering.

But, they had to be sending a prospect or a pic, right?

If not, it's understandable why they didn't eat Boozer's deal.

It's just unfathomable that they let both bigs walk without compensation.
