Finally Bulls fans he will be Amnestied to make a run at free agent Carmelo Anthony/or Trevor Ariza, and Pau Gasol.

There's a story in the Chicago Sun-Times.

FWIW, Boozer is still a nice rotation piece that will likely be coveted by all these teams that may strike out with Pau Gasol. He wasn't cut because he sucks, it was because he's overpaid.

I think this is good news for the Bulls. They wouldn't do this unless they know they were get a big time FA.

Because of this move they are going to Land Melo or a Combo or Gasol and Lance or something like that.

I think Chicago has a better chance to land Lance then it does Melo. If Boozer is amnestied, does that put him on the waivers or make him a FA?

He'll never fall all the way to the Heat. Some other player will claim his rights.

:agree: He won't last on waivers that long. I wouldn't mind seeing the Lakers pick him up on the cheap for a season. Not sure what the waiver claim price would have to be though. Randle could probably learn a few things from him about playing at the PF spot.

He came to chicago wanting Noah to be here so he didnt have to defend on the block anymore. He was probably a better block defender since he can not move his feet to save his life. Big surprise Reinsdorf is letting this happen, wonder if he needs to approve the next max deal they give out. Boozer was a consolation prize, looks like we are looking at consolation prizes again.

We have butler, should not need Ariza. Basically the same guy, snell right behind.

If we dont get melo, I hope they see we are better with mcdermott, get a real backup pg, get Mirotic here from europe and go with that. Whoever is left will not make that big of an impact. Lance turned down about 9 million per year from the pacers. Dont know if Thibbs can cure his hot head approach or would just bench him anyway.

So, how long before he signs with Miami, OKC or San Antonio?

He'd be money for my Clips or the Rockets.

I believe it's a blind bid.

Only teams under the cap can participate and the highest bid wins.

If I remember correctly, that's how the Clippers got Billups.

The bid a shade over 2 mil and the other teams only bid 1.5.

The Knicks were responsible for the other 10mil of his salary.
