Reading the article I wonder what al of you think of this part of the article.

" n 2014, look for other contracts to be addressed, including those of receiver Larry Fitzgerald, guard Daryn Colledge and Darnell Dockett."

The part about Fitzgerald is what gets my attention. What do you guys think? What will the Cards do if Fitz says no thanks, I like it the way it is.

The plan all along was to restructure the contract heading into 2014/15. Larry has said as much him self.

It's not an issue. When he signed his new contract in 2011, it contained a $27,250,000 signing bonus & $50 mil was guaranteed. His salary through 2014 was guaranteed. In 2014/15 his cap number is almost unmanageable & he is due an $8 mil roster bonus in 2015. Likely what they will do is add 1-2 years onto the contract, convert the roster bonus into a signing bonus, & cut him another large signing bonus check. His yearly base salary will likely look like it did in 2012/13. Doing so will allow the money to spread evenly along the remaining years on the contract(17/18) on the contact & his added years(19/20) while lowering his overall cap numbers. Capology 101.

People forget that Larry just turned 30 years old at the end of august. By extending him again in 2014, it virtually guarantees that he will retire a Cardinal.
