Gore being ready to go is not a surprise but I would like to see more of Hunter and Jacobs to spell Gore a bit since this is about the time he starts to accumulate nagging injuries that slow him down.

Q: Is it hard to believe that Alex Boone went undrafted?

HARBAUGH: It happens. To his credit, he’s taken his opportunity, his work ethic, and he has a great attitude. He’s got it. He’s a great lesson for all young players that if you work hard with a great team attitude, you figure it out. He’s a wonderful example of that.

I like the answer that's in bold. The rest of the stuff is just ehhh, but I like the first part of his answer for some reason. I guess I just get tired of hearing personnel people and coaches say, "You know, I'm really shocked he wasn't drafted. We really thought a great deal of him, etc."

Harbaugh says the Cardinals are “very dangerous offensively.”

Q: They’ve struggled to protect the passer this season. Do you see that as a golden opportunity for you guys to get pressure?

HARBAUGH: It’s a challenge and an opportunity for both teams. Both teams have the challenge of protecting their passer and the opportunity to get to the opposing passer.

Instead of really diving into it, I like that he answered it the way he did.

Either the media ran out of things to ask or they have short memories. Alex Boone coming out of college was way out of shape and had some off field issues. So it's not a stretch to see why he went undrafted.

This! His off-field issues were quite severe and were incorporated into his contract as I recall. I think what we are getting the benefit of with Boone is his appreciation for our taking a chance on him. Nice payback if you ask me.
