Not sure what everyone thinks, but I am convinced that he needs to stay in the line up. He brings so much energy and I am convinced that it feeds this team. I dont need to see him on the 3rd line, but I think he and Powe add an X factor into winning. As long as they are not taking dumb penalties, they should be out there.

This being said, I am not sure all the guys are 100% healthy just yet. In the 3rd, too many guys were flat footed. Hartnell, Leino and DB especially dtood out for me. I think Richie is almost there and our top 4 dmen are looking really good.

Shelley might sit once the playoffs start though.

I have no problem with Zherdev as long as he plays hard and plays D. If he can't do that then he can continue to sit.

gents z has not played hard all year, what in gods name do you think is going to happen when the real pressure is on.....playoff hockey is when you need people to step up i rather see someone from the phantoms with heart and a work horse.....i rather have a player with heart and grit,over one pretty goal per 15 games...playoffs are a different beast that pussy coudn't handle it

and sport, Z at least has skill. shelley hasn't provided anything this season. he's had a couple decent fights, and 1 great play.

if you wanna argue that an AHL player, coming in untested, unproven, and having earned nothing, we can argue.. i really like holmstrom, but he doesn't provide offense.. you want wellwood or testwuide in there in the playoffs having played a combined 2 NHL games? please.

i'd prefer to have Z in there, he's probably the most gifted offensive player we have (aside from maybe Roo).. IMO he almost has to play.. and after going through waivers and not getting claimed, he's played hard.. IMO he shouldn't have been taken out this time around. nodl and shelley should be in the press box

If Z starts to flop (and we ALL know he will) in the first 2 playoff games.....I'd put Nodl in. If he fails to provide a presence on the ice immediately and consistently.....I would put Testwuide in.

His heart, skill and unselfishness would be valuable assets.
