kesler's not alone in that regard.
8 goals in 5 games (including one empty netter) for the team will not get it done.
Booth 1 goal in 16, Higgins 0 in 9, raymond 0 in 11...

someone else had mentioned in the tweets, the Sedins were point per game in the playoffs again (combined 7 pts in combined 7 games)
the rest of the forwards had 9 pts in 53 combined games.



btw.. as it stands now, Schneider is sitting with the best GAA (1.31) and sv% (0.960) in the playoffs, and it was enough to win ONE game.

Damn, that's crazy. So that means in their last 12 playoff games they've scored 16 goals. Since when did Vancouver become the Sharks?

I think the Nucks will be back though. They have a lot of young talent under reasonable contracts and if they can turn Luongo into somebody like Ryan Malone and a 1st Rounder then they're right back in business.

I unfortunately think that without some really heady trades, the Sharks are on a slow, steady demise.

here's the one that did stand out though:
Kesler has 10 goals in 53 career playoffs games. Five of those came against Nashville last year.
only 2 goals in his last 17 playoff games.

so it appears that "Beast Mode" may have just been a limited engagement.

Yeah.. I don't get it. I have a couple of friends that call themselves diehard Nucks fans. They will shit on the twins at any opportunity but Kesler repeatedly gets a pass from them. I'm not even a Canucks fan but it pisses me off. Without "the sisters" Vancouver is life and death to make the postseason, IMO.

However, in Kesler's defense it has to be hard to score when you're flopping all over the ice like a fish out of water.

A few thoughts: Don't fire AV. Only trade a goalie unless you get what you WANT, not what you can get. I think we missed Ehrhoff a little more than people realize, especially on the PP. How nice would it have been to have Hodgson on a 2nd or 3rd line wing? That's all I have for now.
