Not named Ichiro, to hit .300 in 100+ games for the Mariners?

How about before him?

In the last 10 years, only three Mariners hitters have hit above .300 in 100 + games. One of them being Ichiro. Can you name the other two?

Raul Ibanez is the other one.

Also, the last time the Mariners had more than two players hit over .300 in the same season was, I believe, 2001. The last guy to hit over .300 before Ichiro arrived was Alex Rodriguez.

Correct.

In the last 10 years the only players not named Ichiro to hit .300+ for 100+ games are Jose Vidro in 2007 and Raul Ibanez in 2004.

The last time a Mariners player not named Ichiro hit above .280 for 100+ games was Franklin Gutierrez in 2009.

How pathetic.

I was surprised that Edgar wasn't in that list.

I was surprised that Edgar wasn't in that list.

He last hit over .300 in 2001. His last season where he came close to .300 was in 2003 when he hit .294 in 145 games.

I should amend my earlier comment to say that Edgar did hit over .300 in the 2000 season, so he and A-Rod were the last guys to hit .300 before Ichiro arrived.
