Series Thread: Mariners host A's (5/22-5/25), Pirates (5/26-5/28), & Yankees (5/29-5/31)

Figure it might be better to consolidate these three series into one thread.

I think we're all on the same page that so far this season has been, "meh" at best. If the Mariners want to generate some enthusiasm, I think that winning these three series should be a non-negotiable.

Anything short of winning at least 6 of these 10 games will be a massive disappointment. The A's can be swept in 4 games. The Pirates are having a surprisingly good season, but lost 100 games last year and if the Mariners consider themselves a serious team, they need to win a series against the Yankees at home.

Worried about a lot of that, but Cal got me thinking. The neck can go all kinds of whackadoo without showing any micro-tears or tears at least from what a physio told me when i was fixing my shoulder. A neck issue plus crouching over and over? Ouch.

I was digging on him weeks ago on this board. Right after he got called up.

Just something about him is baller. I saw it in the way he carried himself on and off the field.

All he needed was a chance and he is making the best of it.

I liked him in spring training. I didn't know anything about him so I had to look him up and see his age and how we acquired him. Just thought he was a scrapper.
