I got tired of watching every coach that some reporter 'thought' was interested in becoming the 'next Texas head coach'...Both Harbaugh brothers were asked by reporters, among a whole bunch of others...and us Texas folk had to listen to them all say they were not interested in the job.

USC fans will be going through something similar, although it is a somewhat higher pedigree job in most eyes.

I don't think Carroll is really going anywhere. My original post was facetious. Of course he's not going back to USC.

Listening to the college sports channel on XM it sounds like all this was common knowledge for people in the know.

Chris Childers was on with Neuheisel and going off about how they had talked about all of this inq the summer before any of it broke. Neuheisel was political about it (and taking shit about wanting to get back to coaching) but it was pretty interesting.
