The thing that still irks me regardless of everything else is why was nothing done to Colts equipment manager? He willingly admitted to violating NFL rules by gauging those balls. There is video proof yet nothing, nada not barely even mentioned.
F#$k Goodell and his integrity of the shield bs.

Balls? How did the Colts equip manager get access to multiple Patriot game balls? I thought it was just the one INT ball. I am also fairly certain there is a point where the needle passes some point where it closes a seal if true any person could stop the needle right before that point where air starts to seep out. I don't know it's all speculative and for the sake of general conversation I'll entertain the thought but if this turns into some huge debate I'm out.

One thing we all have to remember and digest.........Once the Ted Wells report came out, the league was done. They had tested and Re-tested the balls. The conclusions were not publicly released. They decided to test balls during games last season and refused to release those findings or measurements. They got a favorable decision in the 2nd Appeals Court and that pretty much ended everything else. The league released approx. 2% of all of the information that was passed around for 18 months. The media did all of the dirty work for the league.

It's only a scrimmage with the Jags but it still gets you excited about what can be with Cooks.

"Practice observations:
• The Patriots hosted an officiating crew for the first time in training camp.

• Tom Brady was 23-of-35 with an interception in team drills, and he completed passes to Brandin Cooks (seven), James White (six), Julian Edelman (five), Chris Hogan (three), Rob Gronkowski (one) and Brandon Bolden (one)

• It could have been an even better day for Brady, but there was some offensive sloppiness. He was burned by four drops (two from Gronk, one from Cooks and one from White on a screen), and there were a pair of miscommunication issues that led to incompletions. Edelman and Brady got crossed up in the end zone, and Brady was picked off by Doran Grant when he expected Cooks to run a comeback route on the right sideline. Cooks ran a fly pattern, and Grant got an easy pick. There was some dispute over a potential offsides penalty by the Jaguars, but it’s unclear how it was ruled on the field.

• Cooks had his busiest day of camp with the seven grabs, and he took over a late portion of practice with a deep score and then a later stretch when he made three catches in a span of four plays. First, Cooks split the Jaguars secondary for a 65-yard touchdown grab on a wonderfully thrown deep ball. And five plays after the pick in the final passing period of practice, Cooks worked his way to a wide-open spot in the end zone and jumped to make a wildly athletic one-handed catch by palming the ball over his head. He then caught a pass on the left sideline and beat Jalen Myrick on a fade route for a 20-yard score to the left corner of the end zone.

Jaguars cornerback A.J. Bouye, who was an extremely difficult problem for the Patriots last season with the Texans, said after practice the Jags even lined up their safety to prevent Cooks’ post routes. And Cooks still ran by them because of his speed.

The craziest part is there’s still a lot of room for Brady and Cooks to develop. The miscommunication was one example, but earlier in practice, Brady barely missed Cooks deep down the sideline, and Cooks also dropped a potential 60-yard touchdown after misplaying the ball.

More scrimmage news here. Wise and Langi sound like they are doing well. I am sure we'll see them two Thursday night.

Just a couple side notes I have heard. Garcia is an absolute stud and has been dominating the DL. Mason is having a terrible camp, maybe Karras can push him. Fleming was getting tossed around today.

Jon Jones is miles ahead of Cy Jones and has pretty much taken the slot away from him. Although, Cy Jones is having a great camp himself and has not dropped a punt since the 1st one he saw all camp. Someone noted that if he can hold onto the ball, he will make people miss. I am simply amazed at how good this secondary can be. If Jon Jones is miles ahead of Cyrus and Cyrus is actually having a sold camp, then god damn....Seems Butler and Gillmore had a great day vs these WR.

Lucian is going to make things tough on BB. So I was thinking with the injuries to Slater and MM, can one of them go on PUP with the Return label?? It seems Slater is really banged up, so maybe there is room for Lucian. Do 6 WR make this team (JE11, Cooks, Hogan, Dola, MM, Lucian) I cannot see Lucian getting to the PS with all the injuries to WR around league. Jets will pick him up.

I'm going to camp tomorrow so hopefully I can report somethings...

Also not shocked Cooks is killing it. I was at camp last yr when the Saints were in town and I remember saying that Cooks absolutely destroyed MB that day.

I thought it was two but I could be wrong? Regardless I'm over all the conjecture, unsubstantiated facts, hyperbole, circumstantial evidence... The NFL is allowed to do what they want so I accept. I may not agree with it or like but I have to accept. Just like the tuck rule. Quite possibly one of the dumbest rules ever on the books. However it was on the books that dreade evening for Raider fans. It was the right call so accept. The NFL did the right thing after the fact and got rid of it.

So in lies my issue I will take to my grave unless the NFL falls on their sword prior. The rules (which I'm too lazy to go find and post here) clearly states no one is allowed to do anything to the balls after they've been inspected. I'm paraphrasing of course. So F tge NFL, Goodell and their parity with in the league and integrity of the shield bs. Hey Rog if you want parity you don't get to choose which infractions get addressed and which ones don't. Parity = Equality. If the NFL would even come out and say the Colt equipment manager violated the rules and the NFL decision was a slap on the wrist I would have to accept. Just like I expect others to accept the tuck rule. I won't be happy but I'll be acceptive.

Otherwise Rog don't EVA say parity or integrity again you pompous ass.

Go Pats stick it to the clown one more time.

it is illegal to even have gauges on the sideline...ILLEGAL!!!!!! SO the Colts kid tested the ball on the sideline and passed on the info to the GM's box. It really didn't matter at that time. The NFL was going to test balls no matter what, it was setup that way. Fuck em...in the end TB won two more SB and his numbers went up with properly inflated footballs...so I guess...Thank You NFL for making him better....go fuck yourselves we got two more rings.

Back to Camp...............Kony Ealy is being pushed out. The pusher is drawing raves from Patricia and Belichick. Another stud undrafted free agent...........Adam Butler. 6'5" 300 Interior Defensive Lineman. He has ripped the entire interior offensive line to shreds day in and day out. Scar is gauging his guards and centers on their performance against this rookie from Vanderbilt. Saw a two minute clip of him and he is a beast. This kid is playing most of his reps now with the first team. Ealy and Branch (PUP) had best get their collective shit together.

Donte Hightower will be Ninkovich's Replacement on the left outside. Van Noy and McLellin are fighting for Hightower's inside spot. Van Noy has been excellent in pass coverage and McLellin has been the run stopper.

Cameron Fleming is trying his hardest to just get out of Foxboro without getting a boo-boo. He sucks so bad that there's a constant 50 mph wing during practices. The Jaguars totally manhandled him yesterday and would have had multiple sacks if touching the QB was allowed.

Cooks made an incredible show stopping one handed 40 yard catch at the back of the end zone and did a Julio Jones two feet in bounds move that brought down the house of nearly 16,000 fans in attendance.

CREEP-CREEP>>>>>>>>>>>>>>If you do get to practice today......#70 is Adam Butler. Please give us your review of him.

So are they lining Ealy up on the inside?

They're trying him both inside and outside. He's just not living up to what BB expected of him when they spent a second round pick on him in the trade. That will piss off BB more than anything.

The thing I'm getting from all of the negativity is his lack of emotion. He just doesn't 'look' like he's giving it all of his max effort. He's really got every tool in the box, he just isn't pulling out the drawers to use them.

Yeah not sure he is built for inside game, but if they are moving Hightower to outside or DE he may be a sub player.

Not to detract from your salient point too much, but considering they got a high 3rd back in the deal, they really only gave up mid-5th value for him. It's not like they gave #64 straight up for him.

Should be a sign of how little the Panthers valued him to let him go for so little after taking him in the 2nd round. He is a back up quality player for a 4-3 defense at the DE position. And that is about what a 5th round value usually is.

Just like the tuck rule.

I don't understand the reference to the tuck rule which actually WAS a rule that WAS applied correctly. The only debate on it was created when the play was examined in slow motion and gave the impression TB was waving the ball around before he dropped it. Was the rule dumb? Shouldn't we answer that relative to many other "dumb" rules in that rules book? If the rule book stated that once the QB's arm is in motion he needs to complete a swahelian jig before it can be ruled a fumble, then absent the jig, no fumble would be called.

Funny rules are rules. Good rules? A rule. Bad rules? Still a rule.

I am so tired of hearing the only reason they won their first super bowl was because they played by the rules.

The reference is about acceptance. The NFL can do whatever they want (CBA) rule/law vs. the tuck rule. Both are dumb but they are/were the law.
I said it was one of the dumbest rules not the only. Which it was. Props to the NFL getting rid of it.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<ALERT>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Commercial Airlines have upped the cost of Charter Flights significantly. Most airlines are getting rid of the bigger planes and going smaller.

Bob Kraft has just purchased not one, but, TWO Boeing 767 Super Buses. He will retro fit them both. We know that one will be specifically for the football team. Pretty sure that it have no more than 75 oversized rotating/reclining seats. Full kitchen and all of the prefect cargo areas.

The other will be scaled back also and br used for the Revolution when they travel and additional Patriots players family and guests of the team.

Can't wait to see the paint job on the team plane.......An Honest to GOD ....FLYING ELVIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just saw the plane on Boston Sports Tonight.

Nose is Red, then a white stripe. Then a large blue field in front of the wings. In the blue is a huge white PATRIOTS with the Flying Elvis. Then a thin white and a thick red stripe. The plane is white from the back of the wings to the tail. The tail is Red on top, a thin white stripe, a huge blue field, a thin white stripe and a larger red stripe on the bottom. The blue has 5 Silver Lombardi Trophies.

The planes is being totally refitted with oversized first class seats.

Needless to say this plane is getting the presidential overhaul and is being worked on 24/7 to get it ready for travel.

It is gorgeous..............I think I'll get one if I win the lottery, if I win enough.

Kraft got them for the bargain basement price of $10,000,000 because the airline (unknown) could not get rid of them and they were going to be scrapped.

The Patriots are only NFL team with their own team plane.

Other teams are expected to follow very quickly before these big airliners are recycled.
