The guy didn't even give the correct name of our stadium and when he tried to spell the old name, he misspelled it once. It wouldn't have killed him to have an attorney write it for him or at least proofread it before he filed it. I can't imagine that this will get very far.
I hope that lawyer isn't working on a contingency fee. Because he isn't gonna see a penny if that's the case. This has 12(b)(6) dismissal written all over it.
This has been done many times before, I'm not sure why San Fran fans were in such an uproar back then and now. San Francisco Forty Giners, it makes complete sense. Whatever, the lawsuit will go nowhere.
I've seen a lot of horrible and embarrassing offseasons for NFL TEAMS, but I have never seen one as bad as the 49ers fan wise. From the BART to this clown to Kaep getting lol'd by Lockette to their supposed star pass rusher threatening an airport with bombs to Harbaugh traded to the Browns (and the whole surrounding story and NOBODY sticking up for him), just LOL.
I've never seen such a decent team (record wise) embarrassed as badly in the offseason as the 9ers. Collectively it rivals the butt fumble. Sure nobody will remember it because collective things aren't as big (and let's face it... the butt fumble was quite possibly the most hilarious and embarrassing thing in NFL history - Sanchez amped it massively) but this is up there.
I see two possible outcomes for the 49ers coming out of this off-season (not so much the fan-related stuff, but the team-related stuff):
A) They'll either band together as a team and take an "us against the world" approach to every game like the Patriots did after all the crap they took about Spy-gate (in which case, that could spell trouble for the rest of the league given the talent on that roster). This scenario is my least favorite for obvious reasons.
B) They'll fall apart under the weight of all the added scrutiny on top of what was already going to be a pivotal season for them on the field in a possible final attempt to get that championship under Harbaugh after three consecutive trips to the NFC Championship Game and a trip to the Super Bowl in the last three years. This scenario is my favorite for obvious reasons, but with Harbaugh's mentality, it's also a legitimate possibility.
