I saw him signing autographs for money at the Town and Country 49ers store. He gave a lady grief for thinking he was signing for free, it was pretty funny and awkward. No I wasn't there to get his autograph.
I worked for a bankruptcy attorney back in high school.....and we handled Bubba's Chapter 13 filing, this was probably about 1994. Been tough times for a loooong time I suppose.
Maybe Bubba didn't pay taxes for the $20 I gave him for an autograph many years ago at a Wal-Mart. Yes, I realize now that this was a poor investment. I was a teenager and I was just thrilled to shake the hand and exchange a few words with a former Niner.
$20 for a chat and good memory? Well worth it, IMO.
I guess I was thinking more about the value of the autographed picture. I haven't looked it up, but I doubt it's worth much. You're right, though, it was really cool meeting Bubba Paris. He is as gregarious in person as he is on tv.
Do you recall if he was wearing his rings?

Palo Alto. They tore the one down in SJ and built Santana Row.
